Adnan is a slave.

"I can do anything for Javier," Adnan answered without hesitation.

Archidius's eyes lit up at his words. They were music to his ears.

"That's good to know," Archidius noted. He walked away. Adnan was left standing still, confused by the conversation. Archidius didn't give him the answer he was looking for and it worried him.

He twirled around to head back to the room. He found Princess Ameera standing a few feet away from him. She was shaking her head in disappointment.

"You don't tell a vengeful person about your weakness for his enemy. That is the first rule of life," Ameera scolded. "Archidius is going to use your love for Javier to hurt him and you'll be to Blame," she strode closer to Adnan.

She hooked an arm around the boy and pulled him along. "You are hopelessly trustful, aren't you?" She asked.
