Chapter 782 Dungeon Exploration pt 4

As the Beastmen went through their corridor

"Everyone we need the Superior Night Vision upfront. Superior Sense of smell behind.

Each flank will be with two tanks, three melee, and one Pure Qi user.

Any issues with these orders?"

Just like with normal beasts, the Superior senses were those needed at certain locations. Like a forest at night one would need not only night vision goggles but also infrared red vision to make sure that no predators were around a corner.

The Superior senses were given only to those would be in those locations. A tiger in its forest would always be safer than a lion who may not know what is around the corner.

No issues were given with the orders.

"Good. To positions."

The Beastmen went into position.

Thus they started their trek. They went slow to ensure that no one was seriously hurt. Right now, they could not afford any mistakes.

"Traps Poison along the walls. No one touch the walls." The smell beasts issues their command.

Everyone huddled extremely close to each other to ensure that no one could even think of grazing the wall. They passed by without triggering any of the traps.

As they walked, "Traps on the ground. Unsure of we can pass by or not." The sight beasts stopped the group.

A single Beastman walked closer to the trap. His sense of smell was not as good but seeing not everyone was able to move forward. They decided to send one Beastman who was slightly faster to try and escape from danger.

"Nothing in smell. The trap looks pressure or something that will trigger when more of us are closer." The Beastmen spoke up.

"Battle Formation protect our eyes and smell"

The Beastmen all covered each other as the battle formation order was given.

The Beastmen slowly moved forward. As they moved forward, the trap triggered automatically just like the Beastmen predicted.

He darted immediately back.

"Trap Triggered"

Nothing was seen or heard as the Beastmen search for what was triggered. They took a step forward and nothing happened.

"Poison Ahead" the smell beastmen yelled.

The Beastmen backed up two steps.

A slight rumble happened.

"Prepare for trouble!" The issue was commanded.

A purple flower appeared in the corridor. Only to find a drop of red drops hitting it causing the poison to become a slight fog.

"Backwards!" The issue went through.

Then eight red eyes were seen. As if the trap was angered.

"Spider! The trap was a spider!" A Beastmen roared.

Two Fire Qi Users sent larger than normal fireballs to the eyes.

When the fireballs connected, a skeleton of a spider was there. They shattered the bones of the spider and the flower now seemed to grow slightly larger.

"DESTROY THE FLOWER!" The sight Beastmen ordered.

Wind, Lightning, and Fire Qi were all sent to destroy the flower. The flower turned from purple to black.

A giant like crab appeared. It's dark armor seemed to match the corridor. The pincers on it seemed sharper than normal. It too had eight red eyes.

"The previous eight eyes were the ex-skeleton of this beast!" The final sighting responded.

"Prepare for Water Blasts!"

Massive Water Balls were being prepared.

"Shoot them at its teeth. Wind prepare Gusts to the pincers against the wall. Fire prepare to burn its mouth from the inside."

"Fire Water!" The order went through.

Each Water Ball knocked one tooth out and loosened the ones beside of them.

"Wind Fire"

The pincers became trapped against the wall.

"Rooar" the crab roared.

It's eyes burning with fury.

"Fire Fire!"

As the mouth closed the fireballs exploded right inside the open area with the loose teeth.

Now the entire mouth was currently on fire. The crab trying to do anything to protect itself. "Archers fire"

Four archers in the back fired twelve arrows. It was not powerful but they met their target at the eyes.

A roar tried to exit only to increase the amount of fire that went down.

With the throat on fire, it did not take long before the end was coming to an end.

Hand signals were given to ensure that the beast could not longer know what was going on.

The special group instantly went and cut off the legs of the beast. The caused the underbelly to be open while opening itself to every attack.

The silent steps proved to be too much as they finished of the crab beast. They moved silently to ensure that if it was not dead. That they could not be gotten.

"Release" the whispered order came.

The beast fell down. No cry came from the beast. The hand signal to advance came.

As the traveled, only poison became nemesis. It could have been from the floor or the sides. None of them tried to trigger the poison.

Then they came across the door. A crab on one side was lit up. The other had a water droplet like thing on it.

"Are any of the poison traps supposed to come forth?" The sight beasts asked.

"Everyone one trigger of the poison will come forth. Prepare whatever we need now." The order came.

None of them were healers but they had a few pills that could help with the poison.

"It is not much but everyone try and take one"

Only three were not able to take one pill once all was passed out.

"Take a pill to increase your vitality." The three were handed.

"If you are poisoned, wait it out before taking the pill." The order went through.

As they got to the last poison wall trap. Everyone stored their pills. The ceiling opened up with poison dropping above them. As they were now covered in poison. Most of them did not get poisoned. If they were, it was not terrible.

They got to the door and all passed. That poison dumped was to pinpoint the weaker of the Beastmen and those were the ones who got poisoned and became the targets of the future corridors.
