Chapter 783 Dungeon Exploration pt 5

As the group advanced to the next spot, the sudden splitting of paths happened again.

"What do we do?" The Ancient Zuggurant asked.

He could tell inside the corridors where the end was. He could not tell here even with the moon up where each corridor ended.

"Let us not separate anymore unless necessary." Rex replied.

This would change the direction of the dungeon exploration. The Beastmen although stronger than the humanoids. Their Qi was not as potent as the humanoids.

The end character decided to target them to wipe them out first. Since Rex was guiding and his words carried the commands of the group.

He would try to not allow any of them to die here unless absolutely necessary and he did not want that to happen.

"Forward towards my direction. Keep my women protected first and foremost. Second is the Moon Champions, for now we need them to be able to enter the last chamber. When we enter the challenge corridors, I need the Beastmen to use the formation that you all used before in each one until we reach the finale.

Spiders, cover the sides and top of the walls. Ensure that nothing will even try to hit any of us. For those are the siblings you are letting get hurt."

The spiders felt the words of Rex hit hard. Their courage to fight and defend the group was so strong that no one would be able to even try and hurt the people around them.

As the advanced, a massive fire symbol appeared.

"Challenge the Symbol of the Spider Corridor?"

The words written on the door under the symbol.

"Fire Symbol?" Rex asked.

"Yes. We had a Fire and Ice Elemental that we fought. My children had a boost to their poison to ensure that they could defeat the Elemental. Perhaps it will be different now." The Spider spoke.

"Everyone with Water Qi line up." Rex commanded.

They were lined up. Iris smiled like a sun on a bright sunny day with no clouds in the forecast.

Rex adjusted the formation to protect those. Then Rex got all the spiders to get a web that would cause anything fire related to be held against it at least longer than normal.

"How long until this is done?" Rex asked.

"Probably six hours." The reply was longer than normal but that was to also allow her children to rest.

"Everyone rest for eight hours. Try to sleep lightly and pay attention to the surroundings when we enter the challenge." Rex commanded.

As the group rested and began their change. A wave of drowsiness hit Rex. He was unsure of why but it did. He began to sleep harder than what he intended.

This also happened to everyone else. The Ancient Zuggurant knew that everyone was more exhausted after their first corridor than what was shown.

"Sleep well, my friends." He spoke.

He stood watch allowing Qi to seemingly bounce around the room. Trying to strike at people sleeping very hard right now.

Due to the Ancient Zuggurant, none of the Qi could strike properly. This was all too ensure that his friends would sleep well and get the power up that they needed for at least two challenges.

"Being both male and female is hard. I hate it when my feminine side just loves people and my male side just wants to train and destroy. The two sides always are hard and opposite to control. However, being around this group mainly Rex, I will make the reality of my power change." The Ancient Zuggurant slightly smiled as he spoke to himself.

As the time limit of seven hours started to come around. He woke up everyone allowing them an hour to completely wake up.

"Is everyone just has tired as I am now?" One of the Beastmen spoke.

Their minds went back to when the princess was around Rex and how they were angry at the thought of it.

"We are fine." The all began their treatment of daily wake ups.

Next up were the spiders. They were powered up and ready to fight.

Most of the humanoids were next. The last one to wake up was none other than Rex. This was on purpose.

"Do not give him any discredit. This is purely for him and for him alone. He works harder than what most of you think. Allow him to rest and try to not wake him until I say so."

Rex would sleep until fifteen minutes before the eight hours were up.

After a quick meal, everyone charged into the Fire Challenge of the Spider Corridor.
