Chapter 29: Level 10(1)

Chapter 29: Level 10(1)

The next stage in Aakesh's journey was Level 10, so he left the area and returned to the town.

Aakesh had been in this game world for several hours now, and all the dungeon killing had taken its toll on him, so he decided to call it quits for the day and return tomorrow morning.

The next moment, Aakesh disappeared from the game and returned to reality.

It was already late in the night when Aakesh exited the device, so he went straight to his bed and fell asleep due to mental fatigue.

DING! DING! DING!

At 6;30 in the morning, the blaring alarm woke Aakesh. Since Aakesh had only slept late in the night, he wanted to sleep more, but since he couldn't mess up the game times, he stood up with a lot of struggle.

"You need to find some free time this Sunday."

Aakesh had only appeared in the hall when his mother's voice rang in his ears. A bad feeling suddenly covered his heart as he asked his mother the reason behind her words.

"Shachi has agreed to meet you on Sunday."

A wry smile spread across Aakesh's face as he finally understood the reason behind the bad feeling.

"But Sunday is only the day after tomorrow," Aakesh suddenly said. He couldn't understand why that girl was in a hurry to talk to him.

'Does she not want to marry like me?' The thought popped into his head, but Aakesh soon stopped thinking about it as his mother told him the reason behind Shachi being in a hurry.

"Shachi's leaving for the USA on Monday, so her father wanted the talk to happen before that," The mother replied.

Aakesh nodded, and his hopes of Shachi being in a hurry not to marry went out the window.

"Why is she leaving for the USA? Doesn't she have a well-paying job here?"

Aakesh couldn't help but frown and look at his father. He wanted to eat his breakfast and the topic of Shachi to disappear, but his father clearly had some other ideas.

"Taruna told me that Shachi has gotten a sudden summons from the company headquarters for a promotion."

The father frowned, clearly displeased by the company's behavior. Even in promotions, they were forcing employees.

Time flew by, and what felt like an eternity of conversation about Shachi finally came to an end. Aakesh heaved a sigh of relief and finally ate his breakfast quietly.

"How's your game going?" Aakesh asked his parents after breakfast.

"It's going well, but we once died yesterday," the father said sternly.

"What happened?" Aakesh asked, noticing that both his parents became angry after talking about it.

The mother then told him about the sequence of events from yesterday. Aakesh was angry when he learned that his parents had become prey for PK adventurers.

Time flew by, and Aakesh returned to his room.

Aakesh decided to make the players pay when he came across them in the future or when he got some time to travel to Yellow Town.

[Welcome, adventurer Ikshvaku!]

The familiar, gentle voice rang in Aakesh's ears as he unlocked the virtual device.

Aakesh had already taken off his clothes when he entered the device, so he directly stepped into the blue liquid.

The next moment, Aakesh found himself back at the same place where he had logged out yesterday.

Aakesh had logged out inside the town hall, so he could take quests immediately after entering.

Aakesh then went to the labor section and picked three quests that rewarded him with some XP but didn't ask him to kill someone.

The first quest was the search quest. Aakesh needed to find three different types of plants to create a healing concoction. The plants were deep in the jungle and needed someone with the strength to enter.

Each plant gave Aakesh three hundred XP, so without wasting any time, Aakesh went toward the location specified in the quest.

One of the plants was liked by Wild Bulls, and they were aggressive creatures.

When Aakesh reached there, he had to battle several Wild Bulls at once since they lived in groups. Since Aakesh couldn't kill, he used his punches and left every Wild Bull on the verge of death with a single hit. Aakesh hadn't used his full strength since, with his attributes, one attack would be enough to end their lives.

After knocking them down, if Aakesh wanted, he could grab more stalks of plants than he needed for the quest and then sell them for money, but since Aakesh had enough wealth in his hands, he didn't do it. Aakesh only took the plants he needed and then left in search of another one.

Time flew by, and around ten hours had passed in the blink of an eye.

[Level up!]

A gentle voice rang in his ears as warm energy washed over him.

Aakesh couldn't help but call his status panel. The next moment, a blue screen appeared in front of him.

Aakesh looked at his status panel and found thirteen free attribute points waiting for him to distribute them.

Aakesh currently didn't need any increase in his attributes, but since he didn't like his intelligence being less than thirty, he added one point to intelligence and kept the other twelve points for future uses.

After seeing the changes on his status panel, Aakesh waved his hands, and soon, the screen faded into disappearance.

Since Aakesh was now Level 7, he decided to pay a visit to the second of the three dungeons near the town.
