Natalie spent the whole day with the warmers, it was already evening when she decided to leave, but at that time, there was a knock on the door.
Whitney had no idea who could be at the door, but she got up to open it.
"Gracey," Whitney was so shocked to see her sister. Although Felix had told her that she would return before the end of the day, she did not believe it.
"What," Natalie reacted when she heard Whitney. Standing in the door was Gracey, indeed. Although she was putting on a clean peer of clothes, one could tell she was not okay.
"Whitney let her come in," Natalie said. Only then did Whitney recover from her shock and let Gracey walk in. She quietly pinched herself to ensure that she did not fall asleep.
"you are really here," Whitney ran ro Gracey excitedly and hugged her.
"Ahh," Gracey cried out in pain. Whitney reflectively let go of her.
She notices a red mark on her neck. Moreover, Gracey seems to have been walking abnormally.
"What happened to you," Whitney was worried.
"Don't ask , can get pain relief," Gracey said. She did not want to remember what she had gone through. Whitney nodded her head. She knew that her sister was always trying to act strong. Moreover, if she continued to ask, she might only be opening her sister's wound.
Given the red hucky on her neck, Whitney had an idea what must have happened to her sister, but she also did not think she would dare to listen.
"I will go out to get the pain relief," Whitney said. She walked towards the bedroom to get money, but Natalie stopped her.
"I will go and get it. Why don't you take care of her," Natalie suggested and walked out.
"I will go inside and rest," Gracey said. When Whitney witnessed her acting like this, she could not help but follow behind her.
Gracey always loves to throw a tantrum, and seeing her act like this, Whitney felt more heartbroken. She imagined what her sister would have gone through to make her lock herself like that. She tried her best to hold back her tears, after all, crying may only make her sister feel worse.
"Whitney, I would like to be alone," Gracey said when they got to the bedroom door. Whitney opened her mouth like she wanted to say something but shut her mouth in the end.
"Call me if you need anything," Whitney said and walked away.
"What is wrong with Gracey?" Kelly asked the moment Whitney returned. He was so happy to see her but his sister had ignored him. Moreover, she wanted to get pain relief.
Whitney opened her mouth, but she did not know how to answer. She could not seriously tell a six year old boy the truth.
"Is she sick? Would she be fine?" Kelly asked. He remembered that his sister used to fall sick from time to time in the past.
"Right, she is sick, and she just needs to rest," Whitney agreed. Why did I not think of something this simple, " Whitney asked herself.
" Oh, " Kelly nodded his head. He did not seem to believe her, but Whitney did don't care as long as he did not continue to question her.
Since Gracey was back, Whitney swung into action. She went into the kitchen to prepare her favourite macaroni and cheese. She hoped that Gracey would at least eat a bite or two.
She was still in the Kitchen when Natalie returned with the medicine.
Whitney collected the bag. "Thank you," she said and was about to head to the room when she noticed and noticed there was more than one bottle of medicine in the bag.
Courios Whitney brought out the bottle and read it, "Natalie," Whitney was shocked to see the morning-after pill bottle.
"from a doctor's perspective, this is the best part to take. Things already got to this point," Natalie said. Whitney looked at the bottle in her hand, and her heart dropped to her stomach. She did not think that things would happen so quickly. She wished she was the one who fell into the hands of those groups. She could not help but shiver, just imagining what had happened to her sister.
"I will get her to take it," Whitney said and put water into a cup. Natalie nodded her head and returned to the sitting room. Whitney took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
"Gracey," She called softly, but there was no answer. Whitney knocked again, but there was still no answer. "I am coming in," Whitney said and tried to open the door, but it was locked.
Whitney sighed and returned to the kitchen. "Has she taken it?" Natalie asked when she saw Whitney return.
"The door is locked. I will give her some time alone," Whitney said and continued cooking. When she was done, she served Kelly first before arranging to take some to Gracey.
This time she did not bother to knock, she took a spy key with her and opened the door.
*Bam
The food tray fell from her hand when she saw the situation in the room.
"What is it," Natalie, who was yet to leave, ran towards the room. She had a bad feeling about the situation. This was why she had not left, even if it was getting late.
The smell of blood assaulted her nose as she walked closer to the room. She was dazed, although she felt something was not right, giving how composed Gracey acted, she had not expected her to attempt suicide.
Laying on the floor was Gracy, with blood flowing from her left wrist. Her face was pale, and it was difficult to know if she was still alive.
"Do you have a first aid box," Natalie was the first to snap out of it.
"Yes," Whitney came back to her senses. Because of the incident last time, Whitney had specially bought basic things. She hurried over and brought out the first aid box.
Natalie collected the box and opened it. Gracey had already lost consciousness. The only thing she could do was stop the bleeding.
"Call for an ambulance," Natalie said as she disinfected the wound. Whitney nodded and turned around. She had left her phone on the dining table, so she wanted to return and get it.
"Kelly," she called, seeing her brother standing there like a stone. He must have been scared out of his wit. Everything had taken Whitney by surprise, so she had forgotten to guild agaist her baby brother. Now that she saw him like this, she felt guilty.
