Burning Desire: Bound By Duty
For centuries, the house of Cross and White have been at war. No blood was spared whether it be women or children. The hatred between the houses runs deep.
Finally, after centuries of endless bloodshed, the rulers of the realm have decided to end all wars by the union of their heirs—Damien of house Cross and Angelique of house White.
Damien of House Cross is a strong and arrogant warrior who was raised to become King. He's tall and beautiful with brown curly hair and ocean-blue eyes. He won every battle he takes part in and leaves women crying wherever he went. He's known to be a rake.
Angelique of House White is an intelligent and strong-willed lady. Her beauty is as enchanting as her intellect is challenging. Her black hair flowed long behind her and her big black eyes were like a mystery waiting to be solved. Angelique embodies inside her Athena—the goddess of wisdom and war.
Two polar opposites wed against their will in order to bring peace to the world. Will they be able to unite all kingdoms and finally put an end to this war? Or is their union a mistake that would lead them to their downfall?
This work is one of my proudest, and I critique my work harshly. I update almost every day. The story development is great but can do better. The way I created my characters was perfect for me. My favorite character is Damien Cross. I enjoyed writing him and creating his back story. I also love the love-hate relationship he has with Angelique White, his wife. It is a forced marriage and they both loathe each other, but they still try to fulfill their duties. I can't wait to share how their relationship would blossom or meet its end. I hope everyone shares their opinion as well.
A five-star cause it gave me goosebumps and kept me wanting more. A well-thought plot and quite controversial Ml. The Fl is a delight and a breath of fresh air. She is a princess whose knowledge of the battlefield beautifully contrasts her innocence in other fields. My guilty pleasure when it comes to books, is first person pronoun usage. You did it and that was already a huge yes from me. Intriguing story and can't wait to read more of what is to come.
Firstly, when I started reading; I love the intro, the entrance is awesome. Secondly, i love the characters design and tbh, the world development. There are low errors and this actually a thumb up! Well-done!
