Episode 2. So cute!

Samenffa was quivering on the inside although he was putting up a tough exterior. He wished that Grace and Pharrell would come back and save him from Chris's wrath!

His earthy cologne stuffed his nostrils, if it was in the past he would have hugged Chris and smelt him to his satisfaction but things were different now, his shoulders dropped as he slanted his head, he couldn't look in those raging eyes .

Being ignored by Samenffa only Chris's blood boil even more. "Do you know how bad you look?" He grinned. "You look like a street cat in pretty clothes, so Platt isn't treating you well, little whore? What did you expect huh? That he would treat you like a king? " Chris gritted his teeth when Samenffa still refused to look at him, he stabbed a finger at him then jammed his fist on the table. "You deserve it and much more, I will make you regret ever making Chris Anders your enemy!"

He drew back and fixed his suit before sitting. At the same time, Pharrell and Grace returned. They felt the intensity in the room, whatever occurred after they left still had its aftermath on the faces of the CEOs.

Grace deadpanned as she looked at Samenffa, he was gripping his pants so tightly that it would surely leave the parts wrinkled. She marched across to him and stood by his side, Pharrell also followed suit.

Grace clenched her fists, if she had known that this jerk would treat Samenffa badly, she would have never left his side. She squeezed his right shoulder in a way that no one would notice. Samenffa felt it and slowly loosen his grip. She gave Chris a dirty look, one of a woman who had dealt with men like him. He raised a brow at her audacity but she didn't flinch.

" I will like to invite you to our latest movie premiere, " Chris muttered, he pushed a fancy, digital invitation card that was can be switched on and off by a mere swipe to Samenffa." I hope you can make it."

"I'll let you know my decision in due time Mr. Anders," Samenffa said and rose from his seat. He gave the invitation to Grace then outstretched his hand to Chris who stood up as well to accept it. "It's been a pleasure doing business with you. "

He forced a smile as turned his back on Chris. He was mentally Counting the minutes it would take him to leave the building, his lower lip became the subject of his frustration as he chomped it for dear life.

Grace knew Samenffa was in a sour mood so she immediately informed the driver to bring the car upfront. Samenffa's joy knew no bound when he saw his Ross Royce phantom menace. The driver was standing by the hinge door , he shut it after Samenffa got in and returned to his station.

As the engine fired up , Samenffa broke down in tears. He couldn't hold it anymore. He hid his face in his palms, sniffling and barely breathing fresh air. Grace felt bitter in her heart, she hugged him and patted his back gently, she had no words.

"He hates me, Grace, I didn't mean to hurt him, " Samenffa said inaudibly.

"He is a fool, an idiot, I don't care what you did, he has done worst." Grace spat. Her gaze softened as she rubbed Samenffa's back. "Please stop crying, you know it is not good for your health."

It took a while but Samenffa stopped his deep sniffling. "No more, please." Grace broke the embrace, she gently brushed the tears from his cheeks in order not to spoil his makeup. "I hope you don't plan on going to that movie premiere, he just wants to mess with you."

"I know…"Samenffa murmured, he rested his elbow on the window and smiled sadly. "I deserve it, I will accept the invitation." Grace opened her mouth to protest but Samenffa was faster. "Save it, Gracie, I know what I am doing."

She closed her mouth and slummed back, she was mad. She crossed her arms under her bosom with her eyes looking ahead . "Whatever you say, boss."

Samenffa chuckled, he concentrated on the buildings along the way. The morning sun lit the glasses of the skyscrapers making them a bit more eye blinding. He spared Grace a glance and she was still pouting like a spoilt child.

He shook his head helplessly. She had been with him for years even during his business school days. Most people tagged her with many demoralizing names such as, social climber, gold digger, and much more just because she stuck with someone higher than her class.

Samenffa knew her reason, she was smarter than they thought and she still is. She had a place in his heart, a best friend that has always been there even when he was dating Chris. It was partly the reason why she has zero respect for him, she knew what their relationship had been through.

To break the silence, Samenffa struck a conversation. "We will begin our in-house production before the end of the week."

"That has to be the best news that I have heard in months!" Grace yelped like a high school girl that just got a peck from her crush. Her eyes shrunk as her nose crinkled. Her brisk yet comforting voice boomed in the car.

Samenffa allowed her to go on and on about her plans for the factory while mentally noting some of the points she raised, she was not only business smart but creative.

But regardless of the bubbly person beside him, Samenffa's face changed slowly ,drowning in a frown as he went down memory's lane. Power fashion company was single-handedly built by his father and continued by him before the patriarch passed away.

His family for starters has never been supportive, his mother spent lavishly and barely had enough time to care for her children. His older sister wanted to be CEO , at least she had an interest in the business, unlike his older brother that was a junkie who ran away from home to join a mafia group in Europe.

The last born was his favorite but she was a proud, spoilt, unemployed, model. Year after year, the family feasted on Samenffa's hard work just because the late Mr. Simon Powers left his third child in charge of all his assets.

Samenffa's love for his family gave them the privilege to get rotten, he never questioned their spending. But everything changed when he became sick. He was diagnosed with cancer that was discovered in its late stage, living him with little time to fight back.

Angry at the world, he took a break from his life and the man he loves. He finally gave his older sister the position she had been hungering for. His plan was to spend the rest of his days away from the world and die peacefully without hurting those he cared for, far from sight is far from mind.
