CHAPTER 019: Analyzation of Side-Characters

Queen Eriela slowly veered at Princess Yanarym who was sitting pretty at the window frame, in a relaxed position, and she was smiling—a confident and genuine countenance. A wind from the trees on the outside blew that entered the bedchamber. Her hair flowed freely, and she tamed it casually as her eyes never left the queen.

Yanarym pointed in Aliah's direction.

"This girl, is she, my maid?"

"Maid?"

"The princess has a maid?"

"I've never heard of it."

"Who's that?"

"Why is she in the first Princess's bedchamber?"

"Do you know her?"

"I think she is one of the potential maids of honor for the princesses."

"Who assigned her to be the first Princess's servant?"

"Did she trespass in Princess Yanarym's boudoir? Why is she kneeling like that?"

"She seemed to have committed a mistake and asked for forgiveness."

"Are you lifting your eyes? Don't you dare look at the first Princess!"

"Keep your head on the floor."

"What is going on? I heard the Queen summoned us because Princess Yanarym was in grave danger. Is the servant that's kneeling the danger to the princess?"

"Don't ask me."

"Silence! You have the audaciousness to gossip in the presence of the royal family! Be ashamed of yourselves."

Yanarym smiled seeing the crowd murmuring among themselves. "Didn't you send her to me, Queen Eriela?"

Queen Eriela was in a trance.

Princess Yanarym grew up as a lady in the span of ten years, and Queen Eriela could see the resemblance between Eulasha's physical traits back when they were young princesses.

At first, that was no surprise for Queen Eriela because her daughter Princess Liezel had her physical traits as well. Despite that, there were differences between them.

However, she could not believe what was in front of her. As if Eulasha was staring back through her, the woman whom she destroyed a decade ago.

The Queen clenched her teeth, she was infuriated by the thought that her daughter would be caught guilty of treason. Nonetheless, seeing Eulasha's daughter who looked exactly like her and had the same temperament and expression—alive and this life was a lot more vexatious.

Her insecurities when she was young towards Eulasha, she could feel that lacked inadequacy arousing just by staring at Princess Yanarym.

"Queen Eriela, aren't you going to answer me?"

"Princess Yanarym! Do not be rude to the Queen, watch your tone." Princess Liezel said as she glared at Yanarym.

Both her mother and her Jasmine became still, no one was conversing with Princess Yanarym. Princess Liezel assumed that both of them were in shock— Was awestruck to see the ghastly person they regarded to be dead chatting and grinning. So, Princess Liezel was trying to keep the front and save their reputation in case Princess Yanarym would spout nonsense.

On the other hand, Princess Jasmine did not know what was happening. Nonetheless, she was certain that Yanarym, whom they left earlier was no longer breathing! How could she be alive?

"I haven't been in contact with people for decades, dear Princess Liezel. I shall apologize for my mistake." The third Princess felt the creep on her spine upon receiving the entire attention from Princess Yanarym; Princess Liezel unconsciously took a step back and hid behind her sister.

"Would you please forgive me, Queen Eriela?" Princess Yanarym said without breaking eye contact with Princess Liezel. She did not even stand up to make a curtsy or a bow to show her sincere apology to the Queen. She remained sitting in the window with a mocking smile plastered on her face; even her tone was more assertive than apologetic.

The tension in the air began to become dense, it was like a scene where the first Princess was exercising her authority over Queen Eriela.

Despite this being the first time that the first Princess made her presence known to others than the royal family. It did not appear that she was ostracized by the new monarchs or disparaged. The eminence aura was screaming from the first Princess that even the queen could not oppose.

Princess Yanarym slowly smiled virtuously, clearing away the heavy grimy ambiance surrounding her. She looked at the queen who was dazed, staring directly at her. As if she saw a dead person come back to life.

"Aunt, why aren't you responding to me? Don't keep me hanging, your people might think that we don't have a good relationship."

Yanarym presumed— Queen Eriela was not the type of person who could count on the frontline battle. If her plans did not play along with what ought to happen, she would fall back to organize her counterattack.

"Queen Eriela?"

The Queen flinched, and she looked away from the first Princess.

"You a-are forgiven. I forgive you… Since the princess is fine, everyone must return to their designated post."

Yanarym smiled wider.

She did not know if it was because her recent world was all about manipulation and deception. But something about it made it easy for Yanarym to see through the people's intentions.

The third Princess was most of the time impulsive. She was strong against the weak; in that conclusion, being sickly all this time was Yanarym's trick to take advantage of her.

Because Princess Liezel was also a hot-blooded person who thought that everything served her to her satisfaction, she was usually thoughtless. Being reckless in every situation and never considering the consequences of her actions was her toxic characteristic. Which made her Yanarym's easiest target to manipulate.

Queen Eriela, by the looks of her, must be flustered by the turn of events. She was living a placid life ever since she was crowned the Queen of Menotalis. Nothing had happened that would contradict her wishes. Everything about the queen seemed flawless.

Although Yanarym presumed, that confrontation was never this queen's thing. As of the moment, she was wearing a perplexed expression. She may be a meticulous person, nevertheless, if she was pressured into the surprise attack, she was doomed. Queen Eriela was not worthy to be put on the list of the individuals Yanarym should be wary about.
