Chapter 179: Urgess Family (3)
|Author's note: I have been learning a lot of English lately, casted apparently isn't the past tense of cast, I mean it is, just not in the magic type of cast, and I'm also lazy to go back to change everything and so please use this as my apology. *Flashback*
3rd Person POV
"Shit, we're caught!" Lucifer exclaimed
The group has progressed smoothly so far, even though they barely know each other, they somehow managed to make themselves work in sync since they all have the same goal. They don't necessarily trust each other 100% with the exception of Alexis and Brianna who have known each other for quite a while, but they all have opened up a bit to each other, and Lucifer opened up a lot more to Loki, whom he had chosen as his next successor.
And just when hopes were up, the moment they left Hawaii, the flight they were on is going smoothly as well, but the moment they landed at their destination, it seems that the organization managed to track their movements perfectly.
They only managed to get out of the plane only for all of them to see a large electrical barrier cast all over the airport. They didn't even have time to blend in with the evacuation as everyone is escorted away and the only people inside the big barrier is the 4 of them along with one more person.
The person in from of them wears a black suit with thin white stripes, the man looks to be in his early 30s, has black hair and orange eyes with a height of only 173cm tall, he looks ordinary, but the group knows that he is anything but.
"Typhon, fuck, they sent him here." Lucifer cursed "Shit."
And just before they can take their weapons out, the ground shook and break itself apart all of a sudden, and only Lucifer could react in time as Typhon appeared right in front of Loki and knocked him down and aim for him next, even though he caught his fist, the attack still overpowered him and the hit connected with his chin.
Alexis shot a lightning bolt at him, but the guy wasn't even fazed as he let it hit him and he didn't seem to even feel any pain from the attack. Loki then slammed his palm onto the ground and a whole maze erupted from where they were standing, a fake projection that he's using to trick the man who was after them.
And the illusion was solid, so Typhon has to break manually. Loki can see that the man's hand is starting have scales form over and his teeth is getting sharper and sharper as he is angrier by the minute.
And it seems that he's lucky that the barrier still has some holes as it's still closing up, but even then, he only has time to only put both of them out and go back and do the same with Loki, or escape himself along with the 2 girls, he doesn't have the time and energy to save all 4 of them as he's not really fit due to his lack of exercise.
If he was allowed to move and get some exercise, he wouldn't have to worry about escaping from a person of this speed. It seems that he has to make a decision, either stay behind or let Loki stay behind, and both of them will result in them being captured, a fate worse than death.
But it didn't take long to make that decision, he already made up his mind long ago to sacrifice his life when it comes to it, and he plans on going past his limits till the point where he can't be captured. He managed to hide Brianna and Alexis far away out of the barrier and ran back in to get Loki where he almost got stopped by Typhon who anticipated his movements and stopped him in his track with a wave of hot flames.
Lucifer shoot out some light beams which only seared the skin of his attacker, and as the fight goes on, he knows that he can't get Loki out since his opponent is wasting time. Loki's barely holding on as his jaw is slightly dislocated and his vision is a bit fuzzy from the pain, he looks like he needs help fast. Lucifer's body turned to light particles again and he grabbed Perseus and managed to get him out just in time as the barrier closes.
Though he didn't manage to hide him and he can see soldiers rushing to capture him, but are slowed down by Alexis and Brianna who is shooting all of them away from their hiding spot
"Fucking traitor." Lucifer said to Typhon
"Shut it Urgess, I tried recruiting you over to this side, and you betrayed us by killing your comrades." Typhon retorted
"Me? Betrayed you? What a fucking joke. You, who was raised in this stupid corrupted system where people like you are suffering every day, and yet you're here serving them like a dog."
"I'm not a dog, I am my own person with my own freedom while you're running away like a fucking dog."
"I'll make sure to kill you today, Tom." Lucifer smirked as his body is now enveloped in bright light.

*Present Time*
Perseus POV
Why am I remembering weird details now? I had a dream earlier about the time I was struggling to stay alive while this stupidly strong guy fought with Lucifer. I was eavesdropping in hopes of hearing something useful as I tried to escape and nothing really came up.
But Urgess...I think I've heard that name before, but where? And when?
