Chapter 180: Urgess Family (4)

Perseus POV

I can now see Leilah waking up once she realized that I was thinking about Lucifer's actual last name, Urgess...that's Rolan's last name, it sounds like a coincidence, but knowing my life, coincidences don't happen often, but if they are related, that complicate things a bit.

"Sleep, aren't you tired?" Leilah asked as she pull me closer

"I am, but just a weird dream, it was about the time we got found out by the top brass of the project, project: Typhon predicted our plans to the dot and was there waiting, he was to Lucifer what Lucifer was to me, the guy who the project forced to talk to each other all the time.

"And by knowing Lucifer well, he knew how the guy thinks and that's how he found us...and if the project didn't tell him to capture me alive, I would have been dead."

"Let's just sleep." Leilah chuckled as she played with my hair "We have a lot to do, and you are definitely tired, especially after what we did a couple hours ago."

"You know, I sometimes wish that I can just close my eyes and every conflict would just go away, I'm really tired of fighting." I replied as I snuggled closer to her "I just hope I know what I'm doing"

"You are." she said in an assuring tone "It may not be the most ethical and moral way of doing it, but it'll ensure our family's survival. And as for those people on the other side...they need to get what they deserve, they are not going to be punished any time soon and it's not easy to resolve yourself to do all that."

If only that's true...Cain...the demon lord, the heroes, the eastern church, the cult...I have a lot of people people who are my enemies. Even among the gods, I have those who are my enemy, if the war is already happening, the gods will have an excuse good enough to kill me, I might need to eliminate them and that will might even make me an enemy of Dawn and Jerah, heck even Maple...

Too many enemies, and my group is too little in numbers, the only way I can win is by hoping that all sides weaken each other or I have to face them one by one for years until I will be the one who remains, and even then, I will lose the people I know along the way.

"Let's just talk about the future." Leilah suggested, "Maybe that will bring you into a calmer mood to sleep."

"Alright, you can start."

"The other day, I was thinking of the possibility of children since you aren't against the idea of having them, and that brings me to the topic of how many children do we want to have."

"I want children but the idea does seem very scary."

She then rolled her eyes.

"How many do you we should have?" she repeated "If we know, we can then use that as something to look forward to and use it as something to motivate us further."

"I'd say 2 is good, 1 son and 1 daughter. What about you?"

"...I'd say 7 is a good number." Leilah replied after a while

7?! 7?! What kind of monster do you think I am? I think taking care of one kid is already tiring enough and you want 9 of em? Heck, if anything, she'll have the worse end of the deal cuz she'll be bearing them...how do I reject that idea without upsetting her...

"I mean collectively." she clarified

Oh she means as if my potential harem all have children...7 does sound reasonable...somewhat.

"Don't look so scared." she giggled "Maple, Ruka, and I will have 2 each, Lilith wouldn't want to bear a child of her own, so she'll just adopt ours as hers as well."

"That's 6..."

"I'm only accounting in the case of my mother joining in." she now has one of those scary smiles "Though I wish that 7th will be with Lilith instead of my mother."

Ah...Dawn, well my relationship with her is the most complicated, I don't even know how to describe my relationship with her as she once shared the same body of my ex. Which I know, is creepy. And one of the actual coincidences that was actually coincidence and not something any ordinary protagonist would encounter, it's not everyday where your ex is also your girlfriend's mother.

And if any of you are saying that the last phrase sounds like a good plot for a doujin...it does, and if you want to write about it, go ahead, but don't give credit to me, I don't want it.

"Though if you want..." Leilah whispered and broke me out of my trance "We can have 1 now."

"You really are the devil on my shoulder, truly a terrible influence."

"A fun one at least." she giggled and kissed me

*****

"Kya, why are you shirtless?!" Maple screamed as she got into my room

"I locked the doors for a reason, you know. So what do you need that you had to pick my locks with magic?"

"Why is my sister sleeping without a dress?"

"Uh, she loves the cold?"

It took her a while to realize what the situation was, and then took me about 15 minutes to like calm her down, luckily I usually have my pants on, otherwise, she would have definitely passed out. She really is too innocent for her own good.

"Umm...last night, there were several people who tried to break into our rooms, but luckily my barrier kept them out." she reported with a red face "They were hostile as they actually use magic to try to destroy my barrier, I went to incapacitate them and they have the same badges and crest on them as the ones your fox brought over last dinner."

"Well I'll be meeting all of em at their stupid auction, and I plan on angering a couple of them, so please protect my family while I'm there."

"Hah." she sighs "Just don't make me work too hard, I'm here to have fun too."
