Perseus POV
"You got me in bed once and neglected me already...you can't be a good husband if you just keep on moving to another woman." Lilith teased as I rest in my home's living room
"Look, I'm busy alright, besides don't talk too much, my mothers are listening from the kitchen. Do you not have any shame?"
The recent attack wasn't the best since the people they sent weren't truly the best at their field, but this only tells me that this is only the start, whoever is out there is planning something, and I don't like it one bit.
First Edward...then who next? Me or the chief? Breaking into our homes would be hard, but not impossible, most of our houses may be made from the wood of the tree itself, but once it's separated, it's no longer as durable, and no one truly knows why, but no one care that much since it's still durable enough to be ranging from a 6-star level to a 9 at times.
Are they trying to eliminate me before the main tournament? I have a good chance against Rolan after all, a hero losing twice to the same guy wouldn't look good. Rolan can't be behind this, he's not that stupid...besides it's his reputation at risk here...unless this is some sort of reverse psychology.
Well at least I have taken some precautions, the chief has taken his too, we are the next biggest target, my grandparents are also packing to come to stay with us for a while, they're better protected with Leilah and Ruka here.
"Yeah, and stop being so clingy, that's my trait." Leilah complained and pushed Lilith away before holding me all to herself
"You 2 stop arguing, I'm thinking of something."
"Never thought I'd see a day where girls would fight for you." Mom Nyra commented as she got into the living room with some snacks "I'd always thought your attitude would repel them."
"Don't worry ma'am, your son is just my type." Lilith replied
"Your type is an arrogant, narcissistic, and vain guy with somewhat of a decent look?" Mom Rylee asked
"No, that would only remind me of my brother." Lilith answered "Perseus is...well...I like that he can keep up with my antics, and he's very daring. I'll tell you on our 2nd encounter sometimes, I pushed him down an-"
"Please, I do not want to listen to what my son and you do in your free time." Mom Rylee stopped her and just when the conversation was about to get more embarrassing, Maple burst into the house.
"Vincent got kidnapped." Maple shouted which caused my parents to jolt out of their seats "He was with me one second and someone teleported him away, I'm sorry! I don't know what to do, I should have teleported him home, but he wanted to walk with me to the nearest library and return his book and..."
I let her continue her ramble and cry for a while as I then got up to close the door and close all the curtains in our home.
"Why are you calm?! We should report this to-" mom Nyra asked as I put a finger to my lips in a shush motion
"Don't worry, Vince, you can come out now!" I shouted as Vince's bedroom door open and he came running down the stair, still in his school uniform.
I figured that they'd target him next as he's my weakest link, so I had him start the day like usual, but when he left, Ruka and I went to see him first, in the secret of course, we teleported to school, the enemies spied Vincent doing his normal things all day, and I suspected that so I turned Ruka into Vincent and had her teleport me back home while she took over his role.
Maple's reaction should have sold the enemy thinking that they got the right one since she wasn't in on it when I tasked her to go pick him up. Ruka isn't forcefully teleported to me, which means she's still in my range.
My parents didn't even have time to be angry at me for doing this as they just rush to check on Vincent and make sure he's okay.
"Your panics should have sold the act as they watched from the curtains and through the doors earlier. They may not be here, but they definitely must have used their telescope to confirm our panic, anyway, let's go save Ruka. Maple, get my grandparents here and guard them, Lilith and Leilah, let's go save your sister. I know the location."
3rd Person POV
The 3 teleported away, the 2 mothers stopped crying over their child as they heard a weird statement by Perseus.
"Sister?" Nyra questioned "Lilith is related to them? Is she a rose as well?"
"Well, he meant as in sister wives." Maple reassured
"Why are you so quick to respond?"
Maple then put her hand over her mouth in a panic making the 2 feel that Maple was even more suspicious than before. They don't know what exactly, but they suspect something was up with the 4 women, they're oddly close...

"Where are those 3?!" Sheila demanded
"Miss, they're watching this from far away as they want to not be recognized if Perseus were to able to get away." a mage answered "They're watching through a magic crystal, only you and your beloved are here in person, milady."
"Damn, no wonder they're giving us full command, whatever, they should be here shortly, prepare the boy and get ready." Sheila ordered "I'll take full credit if they're so cowardly then, hmph."
The site is this miniature fortress walls made of rocks around a large clearing in the middle as mages are mounting on the fortress walls with their spells charged and ready.
Sheila and her husband were fully armed, on-site, and there were dozens of 8-star mages with a few 7-star ones, they got Vincent with a knife to his neck and got him to the clearing as they waited for Perseus to come. They activated a spatial disruption array on the area so that no teleportation can be used.
