Chapter 501: Assurance

Perseus POV (Ellis)

The other fake Perseus left and came bag with 2 people in tow, one earth nymph and one wind or cloud spirit or whatever, both tied up in magical chains and had some magic tape covering their whole head like a mummy.

"Since you already have too many girls around you, you can take the guy, took a while to grab him from Eden." Perseus then handed him to me, "And you, since you got too many guys, you'll get Terra, though she will try to flirt with anyone she can, just say that I know where her family lives.

"Same for Bora, if he still resists because he no longer works for me, I know where his family lives. He should know what happens if someone messes with me. SInce they didn't get too much screen time while I was still on the air, here they are, use them to their fullest extent, you have my permission."

What about theirs?

Wow...he was gone for like 20 minutes and the fucker went to Eden and kidnapped his ex-subordinates to help us, what a fun and kind guy.

"Anyway, since you're both celestials, you 2 still have a chance to have your revenge for your grandparents and the chiefs." he advised, "But if you still can't win, I can help you become temporary gods."

"Wait, you can do that? What can't you do?!" Persia exclaimed

"Draw and my singing is also horrible." Perseus answered honestly, "As long as it's art-related, I'm pretty hopeless."

Either way, I think I have a plan, but first, it will involve eliminating most of the demons and human representatives. This guy should be strong enough to handle a god of his own, that's a good ally to have even if he's somewhat forced into the role.

The giants are formidable enemies, I don't have that many gods and heroes on my side to fight such an army, but let's just see how it'll go, this Perseus won't just send out one guy to a losing war.

3rd Person POV

The moon hung low in the night sky, casting an eerie glow over the fortified compound that housed the representatives of both demons and humans.

In a human representative's elegant home, he was playing poker with his family and trying to lighten the stress of theirs to pass on the time as they were in hiding.

But something felt wrong. The air was growing colder as an unseen force moved with unnatural stealth.

The intrusion was swift and undetectable. The human representatives, surrounded by the trappings of power, found themselves ensnared in darkness. Their guards, trained to protect against physical threats, were rendered powerless as an unseen assailant struck with incredible agility.

Security artifacts recorded a spectral assassin who attacked the representatives with no presence or physical form at all, no magic residue was found either.

The precision of their strikes was unnerving, leaving no trace of their passage except for the lifeless forms of the fallen representatives. Panic seized those who were meant to ensure the safety of their leaders.

But they did not live to describe the tale.

As the sun rose, a deep shock echoed worldwide. It was a shocking reality that made little sense, leaving nations and communities bewildered.

These leaders were under constant watch, their every move scrutinized. Yet, against all odds, an unknown foe managed to strike them down, creating a wave of disbelief that swept through countries and communities.

In the wake of the shocking assassinations, the fragile alliance between demons and humans crumbled under the weight of suspicion and fear. Citizens, their nerves already frayed by the war, began pointing accusatory fingers across the uneasy divide.

Rumors spread like wildfire, each faction blaming the other for the orchestrated attacks on their shared representatives. The trust shattered as demons and humans found themselves ensnared in a web of mistrust.

Leaders on both sides scrambled to quell the rising tide of accusations. Urgent joint statements were issued, with demon and human leaders standing side by side, denouncing the violence and urging unity.

Efforts to investigate the intangible nature of the threat. Forensic experts found no physical evidence, no tangible clues that could lead to the identity of the assassins. The invisible perpetrators seemed to defy the very laws of reality, leaving the world bewildered and terrified.

But to a select few, they already knew the culprit, there should only be one person who can go around undetected, a person who's great at illusions, great enough to trick any senses, and sometimes even kill them through illusions.

"This was expected, first his grandparents and now his mentor." Trevor scoffs, "Now he's coming after every representative we have, if they do all die, we'll both have to withdraw according to the law."

"We don't have to." Lachlan chimed in, "The law only applies to the war between both our sides, not the war against that damn village."

"That's fair." Sarah agreed

"Have you all gone nuts?!"

"Have YOU gone nuts?" Sarah retorted, "You being some moral guy isn't going help anyone, I get that you have this pride to be an ethical person or whatever, but get this through your head, we are at war, and there is no such thing as mercy."

"This isn't mercy, this is called giving suggestions." Trevor scoffs in disappointment, "In a perfect world, we would all get along with no war whatsoever."

"You're lucky because our sole goddess is now siding with the enemy." Lachlan complained, "We've prayed and sacrificed so much for her, projects like the fake rose, and every other experiment were done to help carry on her legacy, and yet...this is what we get."

"You all don't have to worry so much." God reassured everyone, "The giants are quite formidable enemies, even by my standards, Perseus cannot win even if he uses his weapons."

Lachlan thought, "That's what I said when I learned of his talent, and now the only way to kill him is to summon the gods themselves or for me to...cooperate with these heroes, how sure are you?"

"Well unless he calls on more gods to help, which I already told all the gods to reject his offer if he goes to the other side, he won't." God guaranteed
