No More Peace

           When the dawn finally came Cypher looked up at Ret. "What do we do now?.." she asked. He let out a low chuckle. "Find the asshole that did it." He got up and picked up Jet then carried him back to his room. It was a mess. Blood all over the floor and the bed. A lamp shattered on the ground and other small things were knocked over and on the floor. Ret carefully stepped around the shards of glass and laid him down on the bed and covered him with the blood soaked blanket. Then Ret sighed and walked out, closing the door. "You might want to wash some of the blood off you-" Cypher suggested and he nodded. Later on, after getting most the blood off his skin (he didn't bother with his clothes) they walked outside together. Cypher had put on her gun holster and knife sheaths again and she was fully dressed in her usual black cargo pants, t shirt, and trench coat. Ret was just in a blood soaked white t shirt and black sweat pants. He didn't care anymore about the rules of the town, someone murdered his brother when they never did a thing to this town and he wasn't about to let that pass.

         First they went to Mama's house and Dallas was the one who opened the door. She looked Ret up and down, examining all the blood on him. "What happened to you?..." she asked but Ret ignored the question. "Where's Mama?" He asked and Mama quickly rushed to the door, gently nudging Dallas out of the way. "Ret?! What happened?!" She asked worried. "It's not mine relax." He snapped and she looked at him. "What happened, where's Jet" she asked. Ret chuckled bitterly. "Dead. He's dead." He told her with an expression that she couldn't read. She couldn't tell if it was sadness, bitterness, or just anger. All she did was hug him. "How?.." she asked. When he told her she couldn't believe it at first. Killing people within the fence was forbidden and you'd be banned from the town if you did no matter who it was. Most were too scared to leave the safety of the fences so they didn't dare but someone must've had a large grudge against these 3 to be bold enough to kill one of them.

         Cypher had been quiet the entire time. She just kept her head down and her hands in her pockets. She silently listened to the murmurs as the town slowly came to life in the morning. She was trying to listen for anyone talking about it. Cypher had made up her mind that the moment she caught wind of who did it they wouldn't have enough time to flee. She was angry. Cypher finally raised her head when she heard a group talking. They were laughing about something and she decided to tune in. "One down, now we just have to get rid of the other two then that hell will never have a chance to rise again." A man laughed and his four other friends agreed. "Which one next? Girl or the other twin?" A woman whispered to them. Cypher bumped Ret with her hip and motioned to the group. He listened in for a moment then whispered to her when Mama looked away. "Got get 'em." He grinned and watched her walk off.

           She jogged to the group that were walking to one of the trade stands and put her arm around the guy that she overheard telling them that he finished the job. "Heeey." She smiled at him and all their laughs and smiles stopped. They all froze. She tightened her grip around the one guy. "So. Mind telling me where you were last night." She grinned. "At home- in bed-" he stammered and avoided eye contact. "We're you? What were y'all talkin about? Sounded like it was pretty funny" she chuckled and the guy seemed to be trying to think of a way to lie. "Well-" he started but want cut off. Next thing the man knew he was on the ground with a broken nose. He screamed and tried to run but Cypher grabbed his leg and yanked him back. She felt two people from his group grab her arms and she bit one of them. The other she just kicked in the knee to knock them down but she didn't let go of the girl she had bit. She screamed and tried to yank away and a chunk of flesh got ripped off too.

          Cypher grinned and spit it out. She then pinned the one guy to the ground and started beating him. She aimed for his face that he tried to cover with his arms but she didn't let up. She kept hitting him till her own knuckles bled and she felt someone tackle her from the side. She looked up to see Lasso on top of her, pinning her down but she even fought him. Cypher kept kicking at him and slipped a knife out of one of it's sheaths. To avoid being stabbed he had no choice but to dive to the side. "Cypher put the knife down" he tried to coax but she just lunged at him again. He sighed and ducked, barely dodging her knife then sprang forward. He purposefully crashed shoulder first into her legs and she got knocked down. Cypher knife flung out of her hand as she hit the ground.

         Lasso quickly used the time that she was catching her breath to yank her up and put her back against his chest. He held her in a bear hug tightly so she couldn't move. She screamed and cursed at him to let go. She scratched at his arm until he bled and fought him as much as she could but he still refused to let her free. He eventually had to lay one of his legs over hers so her ability to kick was limited. Where his arms were they were just out of reach for her not to bite him. She kept trying to bite but eventually gave up. Lasso kept trying to whisper to her to ease up and he kept trying to gently reason with her that if she stopped fighting he would let her go but she refused to listen. Once she started to slow down he gently rocked back and forth, trying to get her to possibly sleep. "Good...good...take it easy...we're done ok?..." he would repeatedly mumble to her and eventually she went limp in his arms.

        Ret was about to go get Lasso to let her go while she was still trying to fight before Pippin had darted him. Ret wanted that group dead. He was hoping that Cypher would've been able to kill them but she did cause quite some damage before Lasso had stepped in. She badly broke the first guy's nose and jaw, tore a chunk of flesh out of another girl's arm, fractured one of the other's knee, and left them all terrified. While Shiny helped Bones bring Ret inside Mama decided to investigate what happened at the house the twins and Cypher had stayed in.

        She walked there and already saw one of the windows that looked to be Jet's room were broken from the outside. She walked inside then went down the hall and saw a puddle of drying blood and a dent in the wall. One of the bedroom doors was wide open and the side that usually was in the room has scratches and small dents all over it. Some drops of blood was also on the door. She realized that it was Jet's bedroom door. She then took a deep breath and advanced to the bedroom and peered inside. There was broken glass and other things all over the floor. There was a cloth soaked with blood and she just stared at it. Then she slowly stepped in. She built up the courage to walk to the bed. She pulled part of the blanket back and saw the blank expression of Jet. Mama looked away, feeling tears build in her eyes. Without looking she carefully placed the blanket back over him. She couldn't bare see him like this. Dead and recently reanimated but then killed again. She really liked Jet, he was always sweet to him. Mama slowly lowered herself to the floor and leaned her head on the edge of the bed and cried.

        Lasso carried  Cypher inside the house Mama, Bones, and Dallas shared. She had passed out from the adrenaline drop and he laid her on the couch. Bones had already gotten bandages and motioned for Lasso to come to him. Lasso walked over and went to grab one of the rolls of gauze but Bones shook his head and held it away. "What? You wanna do it?" Lasso asked and Bones nodded. "Fine" he sighed and held his arms out while Bones cleaned the scratches with Hydrogen Peroxide and wrapped his arms with the gauze. "You ok cowboy?..." Dallas shambled over to him and he sighed. "That bitch has claws that for sure" he mumbled and Dallas chuckled at his statement. "Do you know what happened?..." she asked and he just shook his head no. "I just come out and see her bite a chunk out of someone's arm so I just ran over and grabbed her. No clue how she got so pissed but I'm sure we'll hear all about it later." He told her and Dallas simply nodded.
