Chapter 62 - Dejection

Present Day…

Before I come back to work tomorrow, I was able to secure an interview at a hotel.

During the interview, I felt really good about it until it was cut short by the interviewer.

I knew then that it isn’t a good sign. After politely smiling and leaving the interview room, I went outside dejected.

My mind kept wandering as I realize the difficulties of getting a new job. After all, I have only been a manager for a few months and I am already looking for a new job elsewhere.

If I couldn’t find any better jobs I really might have to find it somewhere else.

Walking out of the lobby, I try my best to stand tall and turn in another cheek when I heard someone calling me.

When I look to my left, I saw a man coming towards me with a smile.

Joshua’s grin widens as I wait for him. “Hey, Salina. I wasn’t expecting to see you here.”

“You too,” I said as I reciprocate his smile. “Are you meeting someone here?”

“Yeah, a friend of mine. What about you?”
