Chapter 64 - Kindred

Since the day Joshua, Jeremy, and I had lunch together, I’ve been receiving baskets of green apples at work from Joshua.

I keep telling him that the fruits are too much to be sent daily, I couldn’t help but appreciate it, especially when I have been eating them every chance I get.

Back in the Philippines, we believe in superstitious beliefs such as when a pregnant woman craves a specific food, her baby will likely appear the same.

I wonder if my baby will turn out green because of all the green apples I’ve been consuming.

Although I know it’s highly unlikely, the thought made me smile.

I must confess, I am far more excited about our baby than our wedding.

As I cradle my belly while leaning on my chair, taking a break from all the emails, I couldn’t help but wonder what my child would be like in the future.

Will he be athletic? Will he also be like Mara? Will the two get along?

Wondering about those things made me think about how much I’ve been wanting a boy.
