A little fun wont hurt

Aida placed her laptop on her reading table and she takes her seat. She proceeds to search for information about her project and writes them down in her notebook.

There was a knock at the door.

"Come in." Said, Aida.

The door creaked open and Kehlani walked into the room. She appeared to be excited about something.

"Why are you so happy?" Aida inquired.

Kehlani dropped two Invites on the table. "I got us invites to the biggest birthday bash of the century." She said grinning from ear to ear with excitement. "It's been held at one of the most popular clubs in Silverhill."

Aida tossed the invites aside and continued working on her laptop. Kehlani was a bit surprised by her reaction. She had expected Aida to be more excited than her since she has always wished to be invited to a club.

"Aida, what's up with you? Your wish has finally come true."

"Not all my wishes though."She stated. "Do you remember Kieran?"

"Our new coursemate?" Kehlani asked and Aida answered with a nod of her head. "What about him?"

"He's the guy I accidentally poured coffee on at the cafe," Aida responded. "Well, he's my partner for this project, and guess what? he said, that it would give him immense pleasure to see me fail so he wouldn't be working with me on this project."

"Did you apologize to him?"

"I did!" She slammed her palms on the table out of frustration. "I apologized twice but he said 'I don't accept apologies and I won't let my offender off the hook easily'."

"Hmm, so what are you going to do? You certainly can't work without a partner."

"I'm just doing it alone and I hope he'll have a change of heart and decide to forgive me." She muttered. "Why don't you take Xavier along with you?"

"He's out of town, that's why I want you to come with me. It's been your dream to go to this club and now that the opportunity is being presented to you, you want to throw it away?"

Aida looked at the tickets. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It wouldn't hurt to put schoolwork on hold for just a night and go out to have fun.

De-Angels club

The music blaring from the large speakers could be heard from the parking lot. Cars were strolling into the parking lot in their numbers. Aida managed to find a parking space. The girls alighted from the car.

Aida was putting on a black turtle-necked long-sleeved bodycon dress and a pair of black platform heels and a white purse to match. Kehlani wore a red sleeveless bodycon dress with white ankle strap heels and a white purse to match.

They walked into the club. The smell of alcohol and loud music welcomed them.

Aida looked around the club, taking everything in. Loud music was blaring out of the huge speakers. Everyone seemed to be having fun as they swayed and moved their bodies to the rhythm of the music.

"Do you want a drink?" Kehlani asked.

"What did you say?" Aida yelled. She could barely hear herself talk. it felt as if the music was being blasted into her ears.

"Do you want a drink?" She yelled into Aida's ear and she nodded. Kehlani led her to the bar and they took their seats.

"What would these two beautiful ladies want?" The bartender flashed them a smile.

"A redheaded slut for a starter." Said Kehlani. "Do you want a shot?" She asked Aida.

"Alcohol isn't my thing, I'll have a glass of virgin piña colada."

"Coming right up."

The bartender began mixing up the drink. He filled it over with ice in a mixing tin and shook it then he strained it and poured it into a small glass.

"Here you go."

Kehlani picked up the glass and gulped it down at once.

"Aida, I'll be right back. I have to go say hi to the celebrant." She picked up her purse and left leaving Aida alone with the bartender.

"I never asked for this," Aida stated. She had requested for Virgin Piña Colada but he served her an Arnold Palmer instead.

"This is a special drink for a very beautiful lady." He winked at her. "Beautiful ladies like you deserved to be treated specially." He placed his hand on hers that was on the table and she snatched it away.

"Thank you very much but I'd like to have what I requested." She glared at him.

"It's free or does your boyfriend not permit you to have a free drink?"

Aida knew this was his way of finding out If she was single or taken to see if he had a chance. He didn't look like a man who wanted to be in a relationship, all he wanted was a one-night stand.

"I have a boyfriend. I don't think he would spare you if he found out you were flirting with me."

The bartender wasn't in the slightest deterred even after she told him she had a boyfriend, he was bent on cuffing her. She had to come up with a better lie to get him off her back.

"I don't think you know who I am. I am the daughter of the famous multi-billionaire, Lupita. The owner of this club, Mr. Dawkins is a close business associate to my mum and I won't hesitate to report you to him and have you fired."

The bartender shook in fear. He gullibly fell for her lies. He quickly apologized and hurriedly made her drink and served it to her.

"Thank you." She rolled her eyes at him. She placed the money on the counter, picked up her drink, and left.
