"How did it go? Were they able to start?" Philipa rushed over and giddily asked as Lina walked into the shop.
Listlessly, Lina nodded. "Yeah, they were, and they're done," She replied. Her face lit up with a smile when Philipa gasped and clapped in delight.
"That's great news! Finally, it's all coming together!" She sighed excitedly, not noting the little girl waving at her.
"Yes, it is." Lina nodded with a happy smile also lilting her face.
"Aunty Philipa," Serena's tiny voice sharply beckoned as she fixedly bounced to attract Philipa's attention.
Finally taking note of the little angel waving at her, Philipa's eyes flew wide open. "My sweet baby," She chirped, bending over to the girl.
"Have you been there all along?" She asked, and Serena vigorously bobbed her head.
"You didn't see me, Aunty Philipa." She said in her tiny childish voice, but Philipa could hear the complaint somewhere in her voice.
