Setting Sail

After saying our goodbyes we set off to a wave of shock as our boat moved "by itself" due to its motor. This caused me and Momo to burst into laughter. once the Island was out of sight Momo sat me down and had a very serious look "Now that we have established ourselves there is still one matter to deal with" I was shocked and couldn't think of anything until she continued with a deep breath "Your confession of love" I suddenly remembered and blushed so much I could be a tomato "I am more than happy to call you my girlfriend, I also feel attracted to you, but I would like us to go slowly, I have never been in a relationship before after all" at this I looked back up to see Momp blushing and shying away so I squealed in delight and gave her a massive kiss, she was shocked at first but quickly gave in and we started making out, an unknown amount of time later we stopped and looked lovingly into each other's eyes, "Momo you are everything I could ever want in a girlfriend and I promise to never trample on your feelings" "I also promise you that I will love you no matter what this world throws at us" we then giggled a bit at our seriousness and broke apart for now.

I opened my system and was greeted with a new message

It was only now that I realised the importance of the free tickets as looking at the cost of spinning was crazy. The only one that didn't require a devil fruit was the devil fruit wheel and it needed the corpse of a devil fruit user, clearly, the system agrees with our decision to accept killing. Then the Ability lottery costs either a single devil fruit or a graded sword, so I suppose any bad rolls from the devil fruit lottery can just be spent here. but then there was a massive price jump for the companion lottery of 10 devil fruits, The power that would come with hoarding 10 devil fruits is insane, but maybe that much power is required to summon people from other worlds?

I then closed my system and started doing some hand speed training with tasks such as juggling, cup shuffling, and using some machines that are similar to baseball launchers but much smaller scale to try and reflect the small projectiles. Momo first checked that we were still on the correct course to Yotsuba island where Zoro was being held before producing a large trawling net and attaching it to the back of the boat, this proved to be a fantastic idea as we had so many fish we couldn't eat it all even with the influence of this world.

Momo used this abundance of food to make us an assortment of equipment including a custom set of combat gear for me with holes in the gloves for my paws, it was quite shapely and skin-tight but Momo reassured me that it was made out of a material with similar strength to kevlar even with its lightness. At my request Momo made a sniper rifle, this was part of my plan to save Zoro without becoming wanted, she only made rubber bullets but that would be more than enough for my purposes.

When we were almost in sight of the island we were predictably accosted by Alvida's pirate crew, they had a small island nearby set up as their base and we had clearly entered their area of activity, they sent a warning shot with a cannon to which Momo prepared to fight but I calmed her down and she stopped the boat in preparation to ambush them once they were closer. I quickly explained that we would probably need to be captured by these pirates as they are holding a young boy captive as a deckhand and his escape is an important point for the future. Momo considered my words for a moment before nodding her head in agreement and throwing anything of value from the outside of the ship into the cabin before locking it securely.

Once the pirate ship was alongside us we were clearly able to see Alvida, she was an absolute beast of a woman who used her strength to bully her crew into calling her beautiful. She loudly called out to us and stated "that ship is ours now, you two can stay in our brig until I decide what to do with you" they then lowered some rope ladders and scampered down, the group of pirates taunted us a bit and we just played the part of helpless damsels, they quickly restrained us before carrying us up to their deck. as we were being carried I had to stifle a laugh as the pirates tried to break into our cabin to no avail, not only was the boat made of a special alloy, the lock was designed to keep out super villains, let alone some random pirates.

The hold wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I suppose having a female captain means there are certain standards the pirates are kept to. it wasn't long before our target approached us, a worm of a boy that constantly kept his head lowered and would jump at the slightest sound. When he approached our cell he looked around to make sure we were alone before unlocking our cell and telling us to run for it while we had the chance. At this point, my system popped up.

I told Momo that we should go about this stealthily and she was in agreement, no matter how strong we were at the moment it was too much to take on a whole pirate ship. We slowly exited our cells as I approached Coby. "you seem like a good kid, what are you doing on a pirate ship like this?" "I -i -i I was kidnapped by them and forced to work as a pirate, but my dream is to become a great marine so I can't leave you imprisoned like this, e-even if Alvida beats me I have to do what is right" I smiled as wide as I could "you are a good kid Coby, come with us and you can join the navy, In truth we let ourselves get captured so that we can stir up some chaos on this ship before we continue on" at this statement, Momo made some batons to the shock of Coby who was about to blurt out something before I quickly covered his mouth, he muffled something into my hand before I uncovered his mouth and he stared at my hand, "you-you two are devil fruit users?" "yes, we are Coby now what do you say about coming with us?" "I-I will Im going to go with you and become a great marine"
