Andrea woke up with a start, her heart was beating so fast like she had just run a marathon. She couldn't remember what she dreamt about today. She has had these weird dreams all her life and she couldn't for the life of her remember what they said or what they mean. They had a Warlock in their pack who acts as a witchdoctor too and he said she should try to remember, he has pestered her for so long and she was getting tired. After she turned twelve, she never spoke to anyone about it again. She is an only child to Terrence and Lily Hayes, Alpha and Luna to Dark Moon pack. Obviously, they had tried many times to get another child but the goddess has plans for them. And as a defect, it was only worse. She is a constant reminder of her father's inability to produce an heir. She looked around her room, the darkness was overwhelming, she felt like she was choking since her wolf senses were too heightened, though she was stronger than some weaker wolves, the fact that she couldn't communicate with hers was a bummer.

Carl looked back at his home. The fire had taken over the whole pack, but both himself and his brothers where safe and sound but at a cost. He hated his Uncle. All his life he had lived with his family and friends, going through every phase of life together but he guessed his happy bubble was another person's bucket of sadness. Jean Koch, his Father, Carl Senior's adopted brother. They had grown up together in the pack and although Jean was just a beta, he was powerful enough to have his own loyal supporters. His father, though was Alpha, and he was meant to inherit the pack after passing through his rites. However, Jean felt an unhealthy entitlement to the leadership position of their clan, Broke Ridge. It festered unchecked and this is what it lead to. His brilliant father had made a Serum, a kind of vaccine if applied to rogues for it could calm their wolves and stop them from becoming feral. For normal wolves though, it covered their smell, it made them have the ability to control their turning especially on a full moon and it also acts as a very superior suppressant too. Jean sold his tribe and in turn his family and most of their loyal supporters away for a chance to rule. And now his parents and friends where dead, he and his brothers were now forces to be fugitives to protect themselves. He looked at the face of his youngest brother, Trey has been crying since they left, but now he was strangely quiet. He sighed helplessly. He hoped that they were able to come back here and keep the legacy of his father alive. However, right now they needed to survive first and he would make sure of that.
