Out of control

The fire had died down and Blake's men left, hopeless having not rescued Rocco.

"What is done, is done. Wait for my next signal." Blake said and hoped into his Benz leaving his henchmen stunned. The trio had held their breath for so long waiting for hell to break lose. Not once, not twice, had they failed him.

Shark arrived at the hospital together with his men and before he could make his way to see his mother, Dr. Aldo invited him to his office.

"Your mother is fine. She's awake." He informed him.

"That's good to know." The latter acknowledged.

"Yeah but I'm afraid, your mother is getting out of control."

"What do you mean Doc?" Shark wondered.

"She's morbid and has been dependent on drugs that have altered the normal functioning of her mind. She's gonna be okay only if you get her to a rehab. A non-stressful environment will be good for her to recuperate."

"I'll have that done right away." Shark stood up to leave.

Vanessa was having the IV drip removed when she spotted a syringe on her bedside table. She slowly reached out to it and stabbed the nurse on her arm.

"Ahh!" The nurse sprawled to the floor.

Vanessa took a vase and hit her, finishing her off. She then quickly stole the nurse's scrubs and a mask and left the hospital pretending to be a nurse. She then hailed a cab to Arnold's mansion.

Shark unaware of the latter's escape, walked into her room and found the dead nurse. He rang the emergency bell and the Dr. Aldo rushed to Vanessa's room.

"She's gone!" Shark said.

"Don't worry, with her condition she might have not gone too far." Aldo said while checking the nurse's pulse. "She's gone too."

"I'll have my men search for her." Shark scurried to the lobby immediately in search of his men.

"Go find her! She might have not gone too far. Hurry!" He ordered them. Shark got hold of his father over the phone.

"Your wife is missing."

"How come?" Almond asked.

"She's morbid Dad." He reaveled.

"Alright, I'll let you know when I find her."

Vanessa on the hand, arrived at Arnold's home, she invited herself in as the maids treated her with some hospitality.

"Vanessa! How kind of you to....wait, are you a nurse now? What's with the scrub thing?" Michelle wondered as she sat next to her.

"You can say that. I have come to stitch up some wounds in this family..." She laughed uncontrollably.

"What are you implying?" Michelle was puzzled.

"It doesn't make sense to you, does it? No worries, I'm just getting started." Vanessa then sauntered close to some potted plants in the parlour.

"You water these plants every day, right?"

"Yeah but why...."

"Shh! I'm not yet done." Vanessa played with the leaves of the potted plants. "You give them water, they grow. No water, they wilth. It's same to us you know, we meet people, we create bonds but do they really last?"

"It depends with who you bond with." Michelle responded.

"You got it all right. Take that credit. However, sometimes we do bond with the wrong people. Someone who'd rather save his own ass and leave us fighting to live."

"Hey ladies." Arnold got home from the office and greeted them on his way up the staircase.

"Arnold dear, long time no see. Aren't you at least gonna give your sister-in-law a hug?" Vanessa drew closer to him.

"My bad." He gave her a bear hug and in the process, Vanessa jerked him down taking out a gun. "Don't move baby, or else I'll kill him." Vanessa warned Michelle.

"What has come over you?" Arnold asked.

"How could you let Rocco hurt me? You two are working together right? Answer me before I blow your brains out!" She threatened him.

"Honey, what's she talking about?" Michelle wondered.

"I don't know what's happening but all I know is that she ran away from the hospital... maybe you should try calling Shark." Arnold spoke with a stutter.

"Michelle, don't do anything stupid. Your honey's life is in my hands remember?"

"No, I'll not call anyone. Just please don't hurt my husband." She pleaded with him.

"Your husband huh? Do you know that he's a serial killer?"

"What!"

"You heard me. Your husband connived with Rocco Burton, a drug dealer to have me killed."

"No, that's not true. I don't know who's Rocco..." Arnold defended himself.

"What have you been up to Arnold? Is that why you stay up till late in the night? You've been dealing drugs? You have no decency at all!" Michelle retorted back at him.

"Don't listen to her Darling, I'm clean."

"No you're not! Vanessa shouted at him.

Meanwhile, Shark picked up Yara from school and the two stopped over at a cafeteria to have coffee.

"Hey I missed you." Shark said.

"Really? Doesn't look like it. So tell me, what's happening to your mother?"

"My men are looking all over for her. She's been stressed lately." Shark answered.

"Ma'am, Sir, here's your order." A waiter said.

"Thanks." Yara muttered.

"I don't know why you prefer cappuccino." Shark wondered.

"Why prefer Ice latte? You have to understand that my taste is not your taste....we differ."

"And our lips? Don't they taste the same?" Shark teased her.

"Seriously? Yours are salty..." She said jokingly.

"Just admit it that you love my hot lips... vanilla." He winked at her.

"Taste more like wood smoke."

"Really now?" He knitted his eyebrows.

"Your phone is ringing. It might be important. I wonder why you put it on silent mode." Yara saw the flashing light on his cell phone which was on top of their table.

"I don't like being disturbed..."

"Just say you have a creepy ringtone." She chuckled.

"I'll come back to that." He said as he answered the call.

"Your mother is causing chaos in your uncle's mansion." Came a deep voice.

"I'm on my way." He said.

"What happened?" Yara asked.

"It turns out that we have to leave. I'll let Baker drop you home."

"No, I want to come with you." Yara insisted.

"As you wish. I thought it'll be stressful for you."

"I'm stronger than you think." Yara hoped into his Bugatti Chiron.

"Contrary to last night."

"Are we going to save the damsel in distress or what?" Yara avoided the subject.

"Alright." He muttered as the chauffeur pulled away from the cafeteria.
