Chapter 11

"Sir?" Gabriel took a deep breath and said loudly, "Are you not forgetting something?"

"No, I don't believe so," Nutley said, looking at Gabriel suspiciously.

"In other words, there are no repercussions for this." It frustrated Gabriel that the ministry had this attitude.

"Yes, it was a mistake on the Ministry's part," Nutley said in a very formulaic tone.

Gabriel glanced at Albert next to him and said coldly, "I am owed an apology. Do you know how much this letter has affected me? Do you know how I felt when I found out that they expelled me? And now you're walking away as if nothing has happened. Do you seriously believe that you can bully a child and get away with it, sir?"

Gabriel's tone became harsher, and the Ministry of Magic's patting of his head and plan to leave really made him very angry. Not long ago, Albert told him what to do to get the maximum benefit from this situation, and his slightly trembling tone gradually became very tough.

"I need an apology from the Ministry of Magic. Your mistakes entirely caused this incident and had nothing to do with me. The Ministry of Magic must compensate for the emotional damage you have caused."

"Pardon, could you please repeat that?" Nutley's face froze.

"Sorry, there is also the mental loss, Mr. Nutley." Gabriel held out his hand. "100 gallons, please."

"Sorry kid, I'm sorry to have caused you trouble, but the mental damage fee you've mentioned... In the long history of the Ministry, we have not given compensation to people in similar situations as yourself." Nutley raised his brows involuntarily.

"I don't accept your apology. You have no sincerity in your apology." Gabriel said it angrily. "You think that you could bully me just because I'm a child?" Nutley and Dumbledore looked at each other.

"I think it's an excellent idea, sir. I was there. When Gabriel leaped towards me after reading the letter, I suspected that he was a lunatic. It took me a long time to calm him down, and I suggested that he write a letter to Dumbledore." Albert looked at the two people in front of him calmly, without any fear. To be honest, he didn't like the Ministry of Magic, at least when reading novels. Even more so after seeing how the ministry handled this.

"Also, I think your apology is insincere." Albert squinted and said with a smile, "I haven't seen an adult behave like you. One of my former teachers was like that. But he's now in prison."

Nutley's face went black all at once.

"Of course, you can just treat us as children." Albert laughed suddenly and patted Gabriel on the shoulder. "Some people like this. Don't worry about it too much. I will contact the Daily Prophet through an owl. Maybe we can talk about this issue later."

Nutley left with a black face, not knowing what he could do.

"Then goodbye, Headmaster," Albert waved slightly to Dumbledore. "Thank you very much for helping Gabriel resolve this misunderstanding. If they expelled him because of me, I would feel guilty about it."

"Goodbye, Mr. Anderson and Mr. Truman." The headmaster also left.

"Those guys are so annoying," Gabriel said, clenching his fists. "What kind of attitude is that? It's so annoying. I really want to punch his face really, really hard."

"Well, do you want to write to the Daily Prophet right now?" Albert smiled and looked at Gabriel after Dumbledore left.

"Yes, the public should know what happened here," Gabriel said.

"Remember to give me half of the compensation," Albert added. Just then, the system issued him the mission {Gabriel's Revenge}. The reward for this task is very good, with 3000 experience points and 25 gallons on top. All he had to do was make the Ministry of Magic pay some form of compensation to Gabriel.

"Can you write it for me? By the way, are your parents really lawyers?" Gabriel couldn't help asking.

"Yes, they are. As I am from a family of lawyers, I am confident in my legal skills and believe we have a strong case. Additionally, we feel that we have been wronged, and I believe that society will sympathise with us as a minority group. We plan to share our side of the story with the Daily Prophet, but we need to ensure that our names and pictures do not appear in the paper. To do this, we will send a copy of the letter we received from the Ministry of Magic with our names removed to the reporter." Albert knows a lady who may be able to assist us with this.

Diagon Alley, Headquarters of The Daily Prophet

Rita Skeeter is currently struggling with what to write about her latest issue. Nothing major has happened recently to warrant her attention. People love sensational headlines, whether they are real, fake, or overly exaggerated. In her eyes, a headline that can attract a large following is a successful issue. She had asked her assistant to gather all the latest events in magical Britain and send her a copy.

A few letters were placed on her desk, but none of them grabbed her attention. There were letters about the latest gossip among the Purebloods, and some scolded her about an issue she previously wrote about. However, the letter in her hand managed to pique her curiosity. After glancing at the photo attached, she dropped the letter, put on her coat, and got her favourite crocodile leather purse filled with her writing essentials. This was it. Today's issue. She knows she's found the perfect story for her special issue and just needs to verify the information before publishing it.

A few days later, the Ministry of Magic's Department of Underage Magical Misconduct faced criticism from the public. In Rita Skeeter's latest issue, she described the incident as an institutional error caused by the Ministry's messy law books and pointed out that the Ministry did not apologize for their mistake or show care and finesse while handling the situation. It singled Nutley out for not following "proper Ministry regulation" and faced criticism and abuse, becoming the Ministry's scapegoat.

After reading the papers, it left Nutley speechless. All he could remember from the incident was the child threatening him when he said that he would not give the child money. For a few days, he had simply forgotten about the incident, but now he was facing the consequences. Not long after the article was published, the Ministry forced him to take an undisclosed amount of time off on 'vacation' without pay, and he received a lot of cursed howlers in his letterbox.

Rita perfectly demonstrated the proverb, "The pen is mightier than the sword.' After verifying her sources, Rita wrote an overly exaggerated recount of the event, not fearing the repercussions, as she expected the ministry to be in a mess. Gabriel was in an excellent mood after receiving 25 galleons from the Ministry, which was more than he could have ever imagined. On top of that, his and Albert's names were never mentioned once.

Albert was in a good mood after this as well. He had completed his mission and made a new friend who attended Hogwarts. They stayed in contact throughout the remainder of the summer holidays, and Gabriel helped Albert with performing magic. As for Nutley, he was eventually dismissed from his position.
