Chapter 65

While Shannon was using his essay as 'inspiration', Albert grabbed a handful of sweets before getting up and exploring the library. The transfiguration section of the library at Hogwarts was a wondrous sight to behold. Rows upon rows of tall bookcases lined the walls, reaching up to the ceiling so high that even Hagrid would have a hard time trying to reach the top shelf.

They made the shelves of oak wood and carved with intricate patterns of leaves and vines, giving them an ancient and magical feel. As one approached the centre of the transfiguration section, the shelves seemed to close in, creating a cosy and intimate atmosphere. Here, a cluster of plush armchairs sat in front of a grand fireplace, probably because of Professor McGonagall's insistence, crackling with flames that danced and flickered, casting shadows on the walls.

The air in the transfiguration section of the library was thick with the scent of old parchment and leather-bound books, a smell that made one's heart sing with the joy of knowledge. You could hear rustling pages and the occasional whisper. Albert saw an acquaintance sitting at the desk all by herself. As Albert approached the girl, he caught her eye, and she gave him the nod. He sat down next to her.

However, before he could even greet her back, the girl gave him a stern look and scolded him for eating in the library. The boy's face turned red with embarrassment as he realised she had caught him. In his hand was a brightly coloured, hard-boiled wizarding sweet called a 'Fizzy Fizzberry,' named for the burst of fizzing flavour that exploded in one's mouth upon eating it. It was one sweet put in the new section and hasn't gained a large group of fans. The same people who made the 'Fizzing Whizzbees' made it. He had been enjoying the sweet in secret.

As the boy approached the girl sitting alone in the transfiguration section of the library, she eyed him with suspicion. When he sat down next to her, she immediately reprimanded him for eating in the library. He looked embarrassed, but she didn't relent.

"I hope you're aware of the library rules," she said sternly. "Madam Pince wouldn't be pleased if she caught you."

Albert looked around nervously, as if expecting Madam Pince to swoop down on them at any moment. "I know, I'm sorry," he said. "I just wanted to have a quick snack."

The girl rolled her eyes, but couldn't help noticing the colourful, hard-boiled sweet in his hand. "What's that?" she asked, pointing to the sweet.

The boy's face lit up. "It's a Fizzy Fizzberry!" he exclaimed. "Want to try one?"

The girl hesitated for a moment, knowing that Madam Pince wouldn't approve, but the tantalising aroma of the sweet proved too much to resist. She took one from the boy and popped it into her mouth. The Fizzy Fizzberry exploded with flavour, making her mouth tingle with delight. She couldn't help but smile.

"This is amazing," she said. "Where did you get it?"

Albert grinned. "HoneyDukes!"

The girl laughed. "Deary me, how have you been to Hogsmeade already? They set the first trip for three weeks on Saturday, I think. And anyway, put that away. Madam Pince could catch you at any moment."

"Yeah, you're right," Albert said as he put the sweets in his pocket. "So, Miss Fields, what are you up to today?"

"Me? I'm just finishing of my transfiguration essay," Miss Field said. "So, what do you want? I'm 99% sure you wouldn't come up and talk to me if you had nothing to say to me."

Albert told Miss Field about his idea of a 'copy and paste' charm, and she gave Albert a weird look.

"How lazy must you be to want to create something like that?" she muttered softly.

"As Bill Gates once said, 'I choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.'," Albert said.

"Who in Merlin's name is Bill Gates? What does he have to do with it?" Miss field said. "And how would you use it? They warded most books in the library to stop that."

"Bill Gates is, will be a really rich muggle, and I don't know," Albert said. "And instead of copying the words, you could scan for the blank space and fill in the empty spaces with ink."

"You're so stupid... hang on. That might actually work," Miss field said. "Only the content is warded for, so it could technically work. If you want my help, then you're out of luck. I can help with transfiguration but spell creation/ modification and charms. You should look for Professor Flitwick or Headmaster Dumbledore or you could try to book an appointment with Pandora Lovegood."

"Who's Pandora Lovegood?" Albert asked.

"She's only the leading researcher in Rituals and Spell Creation. If you want to contact her, I would recommend you go through her husband," Miss field said.

"Who's that, and how would I do that?" Albert said.

"Xenophilius Lovegood. He is the editor and publisher of the magazine, The Quibbler. So you could send it to their headquarters or you could send it to the Lovegood House. Owling address is Ottery St. Catchpole. Ottery St. Catchpole is a small village in Devon, England and it's near to where your redhead friends live. You could visit them during the Yule break. however, it's the Quidditch World Cup Qualifiers so they may not be home," Miss Field said. "If I were you, I would also try to find someone in the Charms Club. They would be of much better help. Professor Flitwick wanted to invite you, but Professor McGonagall was faster,"

"There is a Charm's Club? And Professor Flitwick wanted to invite me?" Albert asked.

"Yes, there are clubs held by all subject leaders, but half of them are at the same time and the other half are at the same time on another day," Miss Field said. "My friend said he said he wanted to after hearing your idea about the Wizard Torch or whatever it is called."

"Oh," Albert said.

"If you manage to achieve one of those, send me a manuscript first," Miss Field said.

"If I do, then maybe. Anyway, sorry for taking up your time. I'll see you next week," Albert said as he waved.

"Goodbye," Miss Field said as she put her head down and continued reading.

"Who were you talking to?" Shannon asked as Albert sat back down.

"That was Miss Field. She's in the same Transfiguration Club as me," Albert said.

"What were you doing?" Shannon asked.

"Talking about stuff," Albert said. "I'm going back to the Common room in about five minutes. Are you coming with me or staying here?"

"I'll go back when I finish," Shannon said. "Albert?"

"Yes."

"When you're free, can you help me with Transfiguration?" Shannon asked.

"As long as I'm free, I don't see why not."
