Chapter Three

Pablo and Alexa sit in the former's room, staring at a box for five minutes straight. The box is not that big although it's slightly larger than his phone that was next to the box. Pablo averted his eyes from the box to Alexa, who looks scared. She also looks at him.

"I'm not gonna ask you why you still went on to join, but you have to open the box," Alexa says with a bit shaky voice.

He ran his hand through his hair. "I don't know, this is my very first job you know… I don't want to screw it"

After Pablo joined the "cult", he received the box in front of his door, which is weird. Cause like, how did they even know where he lived?

"It had a note stuck to it…" He passed the note to her. "It said I should keep the box with me for a week before taking it to a bench at the college bank… WITHOUT opening it!…" He says, emphasizing 'without'.

Alexa gulped. "Wo-wow… they stated everything in the note…"

He nods.

She dropped the note and turn to him. "But come on, you'll just keep something with you without knowing what's in it? What if it's some kind of virus or a ticking time bomb, or a stolen weapon!?"

Different thoughts start to run through his mind. Pablo has always been easily influenced by people around him.

His breath hooked in his throat as he placed his hand on the box to rip off the paper covering it.

RING!

They almost jump out of their seats as Pablo's phone buzzes. They both let out a sigh of relief. He picked up his phone to see what it was. It was a text, from an unknown number. Not unknown, there was no number attached to the text, just an eye emoji.

"What is it?…" Alexa asked, before scooting over to see what he was looking at.

The message says, "Don't do it"

They both stared at the message, mouths wide open. Alexa quickly got up and search the entire house. Was someone in the house watching them?… Everywhere is locked, there's no way anyone got in.

"See what I'm saying. If not magic, how the fuck are they able to see in here? I don't like this Pablo, you should return the box and quit… please, for my sake," She says.

Pablo picked up the box and slipped it into his pocket. "I'll return it to Eric"

"Your ass was scared as fuck scaredy cat," Alexa says while slapping him on the back.

"I could say the same to you. And, did I mention I love the dress you're wearing?c He says before running out of the room.

She looks down at the clothes she was wearing. It's an armless top that revealed, a lot. She smiled and shake her head before picking up her phone.

Cloud college.

Pablo walked through the hallway. There was nobody around but that didn't stop him from holding the box so close to his chest. It was like if he moved the box a millimeter away, he'd lose it. Growing up, Pablo was a little careless and lost some important stuff here and there so decided to hold on to the box tightly since it kinda had an effect on his life... Or at least, so he thought.

He looked around to make sure no one was watching him as he walks forward like a criminal in the act. It could be called that since he doesn't know what's in the box. And after the text he received in his house he became a million times more cautious.

Lucky for him, the club meeting was already over and it was only Eric and some guy that were there together. Eric spotted Pablo, he said something to the guy he was talking to before walking over to where Pablo was.

This time, Pablo waited and made sure that the guy was out of earshot and made sure that there was not a single soul in the class. He then hands over the box to Eric.

"What is this?…"  Eric asked, completely confused.

He had nothing to do with the box since he wasn't the one that gave it to Pablo. Even he didn't know much about the group.

"This box was dropped at my front door with this note! I think it's from the group." He hands over the note to Eric.

"You're supposed to deliver this, not bring it to me," Eric argued.

"I don't know what this group is about, and there are just lots and lots of secrets. I  can't trust something I know nothing about so… I think I'll just drop it."

Eric exhaled. He understood where Pablo was coming from. He too had the same thought when he first joined, he was terrified of how the group knew a lot, so he tried to quit, but after the explanation from his superior, he understood and now he was really ripping what he sow. Or however, that saying goes.

"Plus I got a message from god knows where, that was some scary shit right there. I can't keep up with this. "

"Wait," Eric chipped. "You got a message from the eye?"

Pablo nod. This only made him more curious. Is it a regular thing to get the message from the eye or is it just him?

"There's no out anymore Pablo, you're now a part of the eye. Even I, don't know much about the group, but I know that once you receive a message, there's no out."

The eye is a very secretive group that no one knows where it starts from, the only thing known of the group is that they know and see everything that's happening. Every member of the group only knows two people, the person that recruits them, and the person they recruited.

Eric gave the box back to Pablo with a slight pity on his face. "You can only leave when the eye says so."

He placed his hand on Pablo's shoulder. "Don't worry, everything is fine,"  He says before walking away.

Pablo exhaled and sat on a nearby chair. What is this group, and what do they do? Are they watching him now?
