Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Jasper's jaw dropped at the suggestion. "With Britney? But...she's..."

Sebastian interjected firmly. "Britney requires some social interaction. Cooping herself up within these four walls is doing her no favors. By attending the party together, she might encounter fresh acquaintances and perhaps even discover new prospects."

Although Jasper harbored reservations about the arrangement, he couldn't openly express his disapproval. Instead, he remained mum, his countenance reflecting his reluctance.

"I understand you may not hold Britney in high regard, Jasper, but it's essential to foster a better understanding between you two," Sebastian persuaded him. "Spend more time in her company; frequent outings, taking her shopping, movies—all these will contribute to a deeper bond."
