Chapter 12: Another Wolf
I desired so much with him. And only time would tell where things would end up.
“So… what brought you to my father’s house?” I asked as I puzzlingly stared at the scratches and marks on his face.
Raoul looked down, refusing to meet my eyes. I didn’t understand what could have possibly caused him to become so nervous, so suddenly.
“I must admit… you don’t realize how important you truly are,” he replied, refusing to meet my eyes, still.
But I didn’t want to ask.
“You’re avoiding my question,” I said, starting to grow rather annoyed at the fact that he still refused to even look at me directly.
“Sometimes these things are best left alone.”
Clutching my stomach, I stopped dead in my tracks again. We had reached a deep ravine, and I didn’t desire to go any further than this.
“Relax…”
Raoul leaned over to kiss me once more, but this time, unlike the last, I pulled away, resisting.
