Trim Enhancers

Leo was struggling to get Felicity up, and Felicity didn't know how to be more helpful than just staying still. He was about to fall if he kept leaning forward to try and get more leverage, and Felicity yelled for him to stop. Leo didn't let up, and Medina came running in to help Medina reached down to grab her arm as well.

They slowly reeled her up, and Felicity didn't do anything as she eventually got closer to the helicopter and further away from the treacherous waters below. Felicity turned her attention to the left to see the cliff where she was previously standing had collapsed with all the raures falling into the ocean as they got sucked into the whirlpools caused by the strong energy of the engyures above.

Felicity got her foot into the cabin, and she pushed herself in, and toppled onto Leo for the last stretch. Her head slammed into his jaw, and her arm was jabbed into his side awkwardly.

Her legs were folded in an odd position, and she groaned not bothering to move after all of that. Leo tried to untangle her by straightening her legs out in front of her, and her head slumped over to his shoulder.

She was so happy to be in a safe place once again despite knowing that it wouldn't last. Medina was yelling into her in-ear to the other soldiers, but Felicity make out much of the words at all. Medina walked over to the cockpit where the pilot was and said something to him.

Felicity turned her attention away from Medina and held her head before massaging her temples that was splitting from a headache along with the pain that was now prominent since she didn't have to worry about a life-or-death situation to take her mind off of it.

"I feel nauseous," she whispered.

Leo helped her sit correctly, and he lifted her head to lean back onto the helicopter walls, and Medina gave her the first aid kit only to open it herself and clean up the cut on Felicity's thigh.

She hissed when Medina poured the cleaning alcohol on the wound, and she leveled a cold look over at Leo and gripped onto his arm since she had nothing to hold on to for support.

"You said you wouldn't leave me," she bit out.

"We weren't going to," Leo muttered.

Medina wrapped it up well with a sigh. "It's likely going to get messy anyways. We can take care of it well later."

Felicity lifted a shoulder. "A little goes a long way here. It's better that than nothing."

Medina nodded and turned back to the pilot as Felicity blew out a pained breath and massaged her arm that was roped up. "Everything hurts..."

He passed her some water, and when she didn't take it since she kept on looking down at her hands, he touched the water bottle to her lips. Felicity finally opened her mouth ready for a sip when Leo placed the bottle in her hands. "Drink it yourself."

She rolled her eyes but chugged the water as she eyed Melissa who was asleep in the right corner, and Felicity reached over to fix the blanket higher. Melissa seemed to be in good shape with her breaths falling evenly, and Felicity sat back and was ready to pass out herself.

That girl must have been extremely exhausted if she crashed after coming right back to the helicopter, and Felicity wished that she could get Melissa back home as soon as possible.

She stretched her legs out in front of her, and Leo was sitting to her right side while staring out the window to watch the sunrise. Felicity screwed on the lid of the water bottle and placed it into one of the crates before adjusting the tight bandage on her leg.

After strolling back to her and Leo, Medina met Felicity's eyes before digging into the bag that she had around her waist and pulling out a slim chain and swinging in her hand a few times before handing the jeweled pendant on a dainty silver chain to her.

Felicity hesitatingly reached out for it. "What is it?"

"This will enhance your abilities," Medina said. "You should keep on you at all times."

"What do you mean about abilities?" Leo asked as Felicity muttered. "We don't even have our affinity weapons here with us."

"How do you think that you were able to kill the raures? A normal blade would never be able to kill that life form," Medina drawled. "There are trim power enhancers attached to your suits and the slight light that reflects there on the neck shows if it is working or not. Yours is dead at the moment, Felicity."

Felicity sighed and slipped the pendant around her neck. "Obrien seems to be experimenting with the same thing. He put me in a room surrounded by something that was supposed to enhance my strength or along those lines. I had no idea what it was, but Leo and Melissa were in similar boxes."

Medina frowned. "I have no idea what Obrien is up to anymore, but it isn't my business as he is under his own jurisdiction."

"But it's illegal isn't it?" Felicity pointed out. "Is he even supposed to be moving on his own?"

Medina didn't answer but turned back away to the pilot as she shouted some instructions. It seemed as though they needed to get somewhere. They were supposed to close an engyure, but they hadn't even gotten to that part. She couldn't even fathom the thought of doing it as well. How would closing it even work?

"We are going to pick up a package from another helicopter that got the package from a nearby coastal guard station that has the affinity weapons," Medina shouted.

"How do you know which one is ours?" Felicity asked.

"We have marked over hundred of thousands and sifted through to find three of yours," Medina replied. "We shipped them out in advance after I called them a couple of hours ago. Some of the weapons are easier to attain than others, however, the few that we were able to find that is one of its kind live on facilities that have surveillance watch."
