9. Escape Plan

Maya's Pov

'Have your food Maya'. Ethan Said

'Well I don't want to eat'. I replied

'The boss will be really angry at you'. Ethan continued

"Alright, I am only going to eat so that you won't get into trouble". I replied and I started eating.

I have been here since I was ten years old and now I am sixteen.

I remember clear memories of how I was abducted six years ago.

FLASHBACK

"Rhian can we play hide and seek. Pleaseeee". I said and I dragged her hand.

"Alright, I will count and Maya you go and hide". Rhian said

'1,2,3,4,5,6'....

"Boom". The sound of gunshots rent the air.

I ran to my parents room in fear and I saw two men pointing guns at them.

"Ma! Pa! , do not hurt them please". I cried.

"Maya, get out of here". Pa shouted.

Suddenly, one of the men began to laugh then he ordered the other man to take me. I ran but he caught me and dragged me towards a van and he hit my head with the back of his gun and I fell unconscious.

I had been here ever since. I didn't know what happened to my younger twin(Rhian). But I was glad she was not captured or hurt.

Ethan del fiero was very helpful to me since I was here. He took care of me, he was brought here as one of the new recruits for fighting training and also as one of the boss's guard. He was three years older than me but we were best friends.

I was also trained in fighting and combact but I was still made a prisoner after so many years. But I had to escape this time.

For over two years I have been planning my escape because this place was heavily guarded. I had noticed that every 26th of July, most of the guards get a day off and they do not come back until the noon of the next day. I had gotten my escape plan and I need to execute it.

I am not sure Ethan will help me because he is scared of the boss and what the boss might do to him.

"Hey! today is our day off get two men to watch Maya". Said one of the guard

"Ok sir".

I stole a pen knife during training yesterday and I began using it to cut the ropes on my hands. The men assigned to guard me were drinking beer so I was safe. I finished cutting the ropes on my hands then I proceeded to cutting the ropes on my legs, then I was free.

I quickly wore my hoodie and I sneaked quietly to the door and I knocked the two men unconscious and I dragged their bodies inside the room and locked the door.

"Rhian ! Hi!". Shouted Yna

"Hi, you don't need to shout when you see me. Can you behave normally". I replied.

"You don't look happy today, it's Friday and we are going to have fun today". Replied Yna.

"It's my parents, they want me to invite Noah for lunch tomorrow because he saved my life yesterday".

" please narrate what happened again, I love hearing it ".

"Leave me alone Yna".

"Sorry, but you also have to tell Noah or your parents will be sad".

"Alright, I will tell him after school".

After the closing bell sounded I went to look for Yna so that she would escort me to talk to Noah but I didn't find her and she didn't answer her calls . I knew she was hiding from me deliberately so that I will speak to him alone. I saw Noah at the parking lot so I walked towards him, he was chatting with his friends and laughing.

I find his smile kinda cute. I thought

"Excuse me Noah".

He turned and looked at me in surprise .

" Can I talk to you privately".

"Yea..h sure". He scratched his neck nervously.

"Thanks for saving my life yesterday, my parents said I should invite you for lunch tomorrow. Please be there at two pm". I spoke quickly.

I turned to go when he stopped me.

"Wait, can you stop being formal around me. We attend the same school we are not in an office setting".

I smiled unconsciously.

"You have a cute smile". He said

I looked at him and I scraped my shoes on the floor not knowing what to say.

"U..m I have to go now". I replied.

"Bye Rhian, I will surely come but I need your phone number so that I can call you to get your house address".

"Of course".

I gave him my number and he smiled as if he won a lottery.

"Bye Rhian ".

"Bye". I replied and I ran away quickly because I felt shy.

It was Saturday already and I was very nervous that Noah was coming to my house. I was very angry with Yna yesterday but I forgave her because she said she will come today so that we would go to the cinema to watch a new movie that was released. Noah called me this morning and I explained to him directions on how to get here, he spoke very nicely to me on the phone but I didn't want to fall for his charm.

It was almost two pm and everything was set. I wore a pink crop top with blue coloured jeans matched with a silver coloured sandal heel . I applied a little makeup on my face and I curled my long hair. I looked at the mirror and I looked presentable.



I didn't want to dress so much because it was just lunch but my parents invited Noah's parents also, so I had to look nice.

"Rhian! they are here " shouted Ma.

I checked my appearance in the mirror again and I rushed downstairs .

"Good afternoon sir and madam". I greeted

"Good afternoon dear. They replied in unison.

"This is my beautiful daughter Rhian". Said Pa

"She really is very beautiful". Noah's mum replied

I smiled

"And you must be Noah". Pa stretched his hand to shake Noah.

"Good afternoon sir". He greeted Pa

"Let's sit down and eat". Replied Ma

I looked at Noah and he was staring at me intently. He was dressed in a white Polo, a black jean matched with a white Adidas sneaker. He looked cute with his jet black hair and blue eyes.



During the lunch, Ma and Pa were discussing business with Noah's parents while I and Noah were involved in an awkward staring competition. I couldn't look at him much because I was shy but I could feel his gaze on me.

"Rhian dear, show Noah around the house". Said Ma

"Ok Ma".

'You look stunning Rhian". He said as we headed towards the stairs

'Thanks Noah, you look good too'.

He smiled

I showed him all the parts of the house but he insisted he saw my room.

I showed him my room and an extension of my bedroom which was the karate room, the gymnastics room and the dance /music room.

"Wow, you are really talented. You actually do all this perfectly, you are amazing".

"Thanks, it's no big deal". I replied

We then proceeded to the swimming pool area by the side of the garden. I'm not really good at swimming so I always avoided going near the pool.

As Noah saw the swimming pool, he quickly pulled his clothes off leaving him in only his underwear and also revealing his well built body and toned skin. I gaped at him unknowingly.

"Like what you see, you can stare all day " Noah smirked.

"Why would I stare at you, you are so ridiculous". I replied and I looked away blushing

Noah jumped into the pool immediately causing water to splash on my clothes.

"Seriously Noah! My clothes are wet now".

"I'm so sorry but you look cute when you are angry". Noah laughed.

I smiled unconsciously.

"Let me get us some drinks from the kitchen". I said

As I came back with the drinks, I dropped it on top of the table.

I came towards the pool to tell Noah to come and have drinks when suddenly I slipped and fell into the pool.

"Iiiii can't breathe, help me". I cried.

Noah swam towards me and carried me and placed me on top of a hammock.

I coughed profusely.

"Thanks Noah". I said and I smiled

"You're welcome cutie". Noah smirked.

"Don't call me that, silly boy". I replied.

He laughed

I went to change my wet clothes then I gave Noah some dry towels.

We chatted for some while, then it was time for him to go.

We walked outside together

I bade his parents goodbye

"Bye Rhian ". He said and he smiled

"Bye Noah". I replied and I smiled back

"Um..h Rhian, can we be friends. I know you are not comfortable around boys but I won't trouble you".

"Of course we can be friends". I replied.

"I know you would not agree. Wait a minute, really we can be friends". He asked happily

"Yes we can". I replied

He smiled and I admired his blue eyes, jet black hair, his streamlined jaw and his cute smile.

"Thanks cutie, Bye see you at school on Monday". He said and I snapped out from my imagination.

"Bye". I giggled.

I watched him enter the car with his parents and I smiled.

I headed back into the house and I went to my room to wait for Yna.
