20. I'm not in the Mood

As I got to my office, Stefan informed me about an urgent meeting by 10:am and I needed to close this deal.

"Stefan, get the conference room ready. Make sure the business proposal is ready".

"Ma'm, they want the meeting to be arranged in a restaurant". Stefan replied

"Who do they think they are to arrange a meeting in a restaurant, I'm much more richer and successful than they could ever be. I just need them to be part of my company". I said angrily

"Alright, I'm coming. Let me just change my outfit".

"Ok Ma'm".

I changed into a blue trouser gown



I arrived at the restaurant and it was a traditional filipino restaurant, the smell of crispy Pata hit my nose. I really had to buy this after the meeting, it was my favorite filipino dish. I looked at the far end of the restaurant and I saw a group of people gathered around a table and I walked towards them.

Franco's Pov

I saw a young lady approaching our table and she was so attractive. Her black long hair glided and her dress brought out her sexy curves . I stared at her

"Good morning gentlemen". Rhian said

"Good morning". We responded

"I'm Franco Segismundo and I'm the Ceo of Guerrero Corporations". I stretched out my hands for an handshake

She shook my hands, her hands were so soft

"I'm Rhian Amor Bonifacio, CEO of Amor Industries ".

"Wow, I'm impressed on how well you run your company at your young age". I said

"Thanks Mr Franco, please let's get down to business". Rhian replied

We discussed about the business proposal and I accepted it.

"I will get most of the percentage". Rhian said

"No, how would we benefit". One of my board members said

"You will get the fame and people will invest in your business because you are shareholders in the biggest business in the whole of the phillipines". Rhian said

I was shocked on how well she handled the situation

"Alright,I accept your offer". I replied

"What!" My board members said

I looked up and I saw another young lady approaching our table, she looked a lot like Rhian.

"Hello, miss Maya. Nice to see you, please join us". One of my board members said

"I've heard a lot about your skills in fashion designing". Another of my board members said

"Yeah, Rhian is my sister". Maya replied

"No!I'm not your sister". Rhian yelled

She looked really angry

"Excuse me gentlemen, the meeting is over. I need to get somewhere urgently".

"Thanks for the deal, Mr Franco Segismundo".

I shook her hand and I smiled at her but she wasn't in the mood to smile after what just happened.

Rhian walked out and I kept staring at her. I wondered what's going on between her and her sister.

Maya looked sad and I felt there was tension between the two sisters.

Rhian's POV

I was so angry at Maya, how dare she introduce herself as my sister after what happened. I drove to my parents tombstone and I cried alot. I always came there whenever I was sad.

I didn't go home because I couldn't stand seeing Maya rather I went to my penthouse to sleep.

I woke up the next morning feeling very angry. I bathed, dressed up and I went to work.

I was going towards the second elevator when someone bumped into me, I felt myself lose balance and suddenly a strong pair of hands held me up. I looked up to see Franco.

"Thanks". I said

"You're fired! You are the same man I warned, I won't be lenient anymore. Get out!".

The man ran in fear

I was so angry about yesterday that I transferred my aggression on the poor man.

"That was too harsh Rhian". Franco said

I looked at Franco and I actually felt comfortable around him and he was so handsome.



No, I couldn't get distracted. All men are the same, they break hearts

I shifted from him and I cleared my throat

"Whatever, I don't care. I warned him the first time but he repeated the same mistake". I replied coldly

"Everybody makes mistakes". Franco said

I stared at him and I walked away towards my elevator and I entered my office. After work at my office, I approached my car then I heard footsteps behind me.

"Hi Rhian".

"Oh, it's you again Franco. What is it?".

"There's a party tomorrow and all the top business personnels are invited".

"Alright I'll be there, send me the time and venue. Good night ".

"Ricardo! Come and put my things in the car".

"Yes Ma'm Rhian".

"Bye Rhian, good night".

I nodded my head and I entered my car and the driver zoomed off

I got home and I was really tired. I didn't sleep in my penthouse but in my mansion because it felt more homely.

"Rhian! Welcome home. I didn't have anywhere else to stay except here". Maya said

"Well I don't care if you stay here but don't talk to me,don't touch my things and don't come near my room".

"Don't be so mean to me, I'm your twin sister. At least treat me with respect". Maya replied

"I don't give a damn, you are nothing to me. I don't care about your feelings. You are so heartless, you left me all alone and you expect me to smile with you". I yelled

"Rhian I'm so sorry ".

She ran to hug me and I pushed her so hard that her head hit the wall and she fell unconscious.

"Maya! Maya! Wake up, I'm so sorry ok. Please don't leave me". I cried

I called Tori but she wasn't responding so I decided to call Yna and Ji-yoo and they rushed to my home immediately. All my guards and workers were on a break and no one was at home.

"Rhian! What happened". I heard the front door open and Yna ran towards me

"It's all my fault, I should have not pushed Maya. She was just trying to apologize and because of my anger I pushed her". I cried profusely

Ji-yoo carried Maya and placed her in my one of my cars and I drove to my hospital. I newly built an hospital with all the improved technology and enhanced health care and it was affordable to all.

"Good evening Ma'm Rhian". The nurse greeted

"Attend to my sister right now!she needs immediate attention".

"Yes Ma'm"

Maya was rushed to the ICU and I paced anxiously around the hospital waiting for a reply from the doctor

"Hello, excuse me. You are disturbing the peace of this hospital, sit down". A random nurse spoke rudely

"Do you know who I am? I'm the owner of this hospital and you are telling me to sit down when my sister is in the ICU".

"So sorry ma'm"

"Get out! You're fired". I shouted

The nurse ran away in fright. I was so angry at myself for causing harm to Maya

"Calm down Rhian, everything will be fine". Ji-yoo said and he hugged me tightly

"It's okay, don't lose hope". Yna replied and she hugged me too

"I'm so sorry guys, please forgive me". I cried profusely

"We are so sorry too, we shouldn't have left you". Yna replied and Ji-yoo nodded in affirmation

The doctor came out .

"So sorry Ma'm Rhian but she is still unconscious but we have stopped her head from bleeding. We would still carry out some tests but she is out of danger".

"Ok". I breathed a sigh of relief

I went into the room and I saw Maya, she looked so peaceful on the bed. I was so angry at myself for not trusting and believing in her. Her apologies were genuine and I felt so guilty for hurting her. I cried on her body

"Please don't leave me like Ma and Pa did. I promise that I won't be mean to you again. Please forgive me, I'm so sorry". I sobbed and cried

Shortly, Ethan came and he began crying after seeing the bad state in which Maya was in. He felt bad and I apologized to him and he really loved Maya alot. I hope Maya will be ok
