"Change Hunter Village?...Nonsense!!!"

SACRED REVOLUTION

Chapter 19- "Change Hunter Village?... Nonsense!"

Author: Ede David

"Then what should we do now?" Guro Ystic silently spoke out.

"The best thing would be to start a former government and settle things down in this Village," Muzen Rosen that haven't spoken for a while now, suggested silently.

But immediately, everyone's eyes fell on him; penetrating and fiery.

"What do you mean?" Even though he was already roughly understood Rosen's words, Lux Deetor of Scorched Earth asked anyways.

"If Secular World's people have already made it into our land, then surely, a war is fast approaching-"

"Hehe, even a goat can figure that out." Detro interrupted rather sharply.

Rosen's expression didn't waver, he just lightly replied, "Only an animal interrupts without warning; not wanting to hear reason."

"You-"

"It's okay, let's hear him out." Oddly enough, Dragon Warrior seemed rather interested, staring at his face intently.

"Continue boy." Ystic smiled briefly at him.

Detro just stared at Rosen with fierce eyes of that of an animal, seemingly very impatient to pounce on him.

Rosen, aware of his venomous stare, ignored it and continued placidly, "The very crucial advantage Secular World have against us is our lack of peace and civility, we are too lawless and hence, there are

many disputes and bloodshed, the 'strong rules the weak' policy has created lack of unity and brotherhood amongst us-"

"Oh geez, I nearly fell asleep on that one." Lux Deetor fanned himself lazily.

"Mad man, stop and just listen, ah." The Counselor glared at him.

Deetor just rolled his eyes at Rosen, not minding to provoke him.

"It's not you talking, so it will be best you keep quiet." Dragon Warrior spoke out suddenly.

He had been very interested in what Rosen had been saying and getting interrupted like that, filled him with slight anger.

"You dare talk to me like that, boy!" Deetor stood up abruptly and directed a deadly gaze of pure fighting intent and rage at him.

Dragon Warrior calmly stood up and calmly looked at him back; not fearing the sharp gaze.

Muzen Rosen looked at the both of them and shook his head, he felt like he was a lamb in the midst of wolves, all of them just seemed to be at each other's necks all the time. 'Why can't they just be

civilized?'

"You people want to fight, go ahead, we needed some entertainment anyways." Druzol spoke out rather lazily, as he leaned back on his chair.

'Are they aware that this thing concerns the lives of millions of people?' The Counselor stared at them with fury and slight disappointment.

"If you two fight, after you are both exhausted, we will make sure to finish you two off." Ystic's old feminine voice rang out almost immediately.

The two finally sat down; full of reluctance and unwillingness.

As Dragon Warrior sat down, he didn't even glance at Deetor again, like as if he wasn't worth his time again.

He was too arrogant.

"What does a rogue even know about politics?" Detro seemed eager to start another conflict.

"I might not know much about politics but what I do know is that Hunter Village needs to change, let's use Secular World as an example, we all know that the place is governed by rules and there are police

systems that help minimize crime, they have former education that teaches them how to be civil and sustain decorum. It will be best if we settle things down in Hunter Village and start creating some practical laws-"

"Nonsense!" Druzol loudly barked all of a sudden.

"We know where you are coming from, boy, but looks like you have been in seclusion far too long." Ystic of Ethulphaelia silently replied.

"Yes, what you are suggesting requires us to change Hunter Village and make it more peaceful, do you know how wrong that is?" Lux Deetor's eyes were fierce.

"How is it wrong?" Rosen questioned with puzzlement; his usual calm, serene face was gone.

"I knew it, I knew this small boy doesn't know anything." Detro disdainfully sneered.

"Look at it this way… Our Ancestors have talked about this a lot, Hunter Village operates on the law of the jungle, the law of 'the strong rules the weak', this is essential in our survival." Ystic calmly answered.

"I still don't understand," Rosen shook his head, confused.

"Don't worry, even I myself was very confused." Dragon Warrior looked at him.

He seemed as if he had brought up this same issue in the past, but was told the exact same thing.

' *sigh* this people just refuse to learn.' The Counselor shook his head; staring at Druzol and the other three with faint annoyance.

He also looked as if he was in support with Rosen and Dragon Warrior.

"Because of this chaos, many Hunters train day and night, in order to get stronger to survive, they have honed their senses, their strength, their intelligence to absurd levels just to survive and this in turn benefits the Village and us in many ways, and only the strongest remain,"

"Firstly, our enmity with Secular World, Secular World has many strange and powerful weapons, there is even one weapon that can shoot out many bullets at once, when we tortured one of them that had come before in the past, they had called it a machine gun, basically, what it means is that their technology, knowledge and expertise far outclasses us… if we should, let's say, start a formal

government, create a police system, bring about peace and order, then it means the urgency to become stronger in Hunters' minds will waver greatly, thereby causing the future generation to become weaker

and softer,"

"What's wrong with being weak and soft?" Rosen's voice pitched higher than usual.

"If there are no fights or very rare massacres or bloodshed, then many Hunters will become negligent and stop training as hard to become strong because the mortality rate has dropped, the peace will permeate their bodies, making them grow fragile and soft… this will make us unable to become not strong enough to fight, thereby dulling our sharpness, remember, a sword that doesn't get stained

constantly with blood will rust." Ystic answered.

Rosen stared at her with an incredulous expression, before replying, "Surely, they are other ways to motivate Hunters to become strong."

"Ystic, don't bother to explain to this foolish boy." Deetor spoke out indifferently.

"There are other ways, but it wouldn't be this effective… we need our Hunters to be strong and sharp, we have too many enemies, we have Secular World and still, there is another hidden place here in

Hunter Village and we even suspect that the Onis are building up forces while there are still the Brutals."

Hearing Ystic mention Oni, caused both Rosen and the Counselor's expression to change subtly.

"What she means is that every Hunter has this feeling; the feeling of a sharp knife hanging over their heads, this feeling is generated by the constant darkness present here, the constant killing and murders, this feeling in turn motivates our Hunters to become strong and this is what will help us withstand the attacks of our enemies." Druzol interjected.

The Counselor and Dragon Warrior looked at them and shook their heads; feeling very helpless and incapable.

They knew that like them, this newcomer will also be refuted and dusted away through ignorant based ideologies.

"But what of Secular World? They have very weak and fragile people, but their technology allows them to still be strong in wars, we can also follow-"

Rosen was interrupted yet again by Detro, "And do you have access to those technologies?"

Rosen's tongue hung, unable to continue after that simple question.

It was true that Secular Worlds had amazing weapons and even though individually, they were very weak, they were still able to command incredible forces to attack them, but they didn't know much

about it, other than very superficial knowledge.

The people they had caught, refused to cooperate and refused to help them in acquiring this technology.

"The fact is that lack of change is perfection; when something is perfect, it doesn't have to be updated or modified, it's it, period, Hunter Village has survived because of our Hunters feeling gloomy and power hungry, this is what keeps them strong and polished, and this is what will keep our generations strong and polished as well." Ystic concluded. "It is a BEAUTIFUL CHAOS."

"…Don't mind their nonsense, boy, sure this is part of it, but these bastards are also benefitting from this chaos," The Counselor sighed.

"As if you are not the biggest benefiter." Lux Deetor cast a glare at him.

"What do you mean they are benefitting?" Rosen was utterly confused.

"You see, when Hunters want to become stronger, make their clans become stronger, then they buy weapons, pills, and visit beast observation centers, us the Hunter lords are in charge of this, so technically speaking, the Hunters' urgency to become stronger fast, benefits us and our respective

clans." Dragon Warrior answered.

"This and that urgent feeling nonsense, that is the reason why we leave our Village like this." The Counselor sighed.

Rosen closed his eyes; reaching an understanding.

Because Hunters are used to bloodshed and fighting, they are compelled to buy weapons and pills to aid training, the more weapons they buy, for instance, benefits Crust Country, the leading manufacturer in

weapons, the more pills they buy, benefits The Garden, the more observation centers they visit, the more Blue Spirit and Ethulphaelia benefits, the more rental services are hired, the more Scorched Earth profits.

So if Hunter Village becomes calm and peaceful, then the comfort will soften many Hunters, dampening their drive to become stronger and buy weapons and pills, and if there aren't too much fighting and disputes, then who would hire fighting and war services from Scorched Earth?

The lack of interest in fighting, and the acquisition of peace will affect their businesses and developments.

Druzol's expression suddenly turned fierce.
