Having risen to unimaginable heights through battling many gates over the years, his glory was renowned throughout the world and was said to be one of the few hunters that would pave the path to a brighter future for their generation.

Yet, that was all thrown out of the window.

Almost a decade after The Great Awakening which shook the entirety of Terra, the Hunter "Ace" stood before many people as he announced something that no one could've ever imagined.

"Today, I will be announcing my retirement."

Yes. That day marked the end of one Hunter's journey.

Though, it was not out of his own free will.

Levelling by the Sidelines

Within a quiet living room, a black-haired man could be seen silently lying down on his couch, lazily scrolling through his phone. There, it could be noted that he was wearing full hunter gear.

"Mmm..." With a drowsy mumble, the young man continued to scroll endlessly through his feed. At that second, the sounds of a doorbell rang out into the area. "Oh... He should be here now."

Following the sounds of the doorbell, Jace stood up from his couch and began making his way over towards his front door. Then, without checking who had rang the bell, he opened it.

"Lazy Eyesss!" At that moment, he was greeted by the sight of Landon who was standing right outside of his gate. "I'm here!"

"Yawn... Took you a while..." Rubbing his eyes tiredly in response, Jace opened the gates for the blonde-haired man to come in.

"Aha... My bad!" he scratched his head helplessly. "I just got back from visiting Derek! He's being discharged later today."
