Having risen to unimaginable heights through battling many gates over the years, his glory was renowned throughout the world and was said to be one of the few hunters that would pave the path to a brighter future for their generation.

Yet, that was all thrown out of the window.

Almost a decade after The Great Awakening which shook the entirety of Terra, the Hunter "Ace" stood before many people as he announced something that no one could've ever imagined.

"Today, I will be announcing my retirement."

Yes. That day marked the end of one Hunter's journey.

Though, it was not out of his own free will.

Levelling by the Sidelines

"...?!" At the sight before him, Jace's eyes opened wide in shock. "What the..."

"EH?!" However, just before the young man could even express his bewilderment, Landon's cry rang out from beside him. "Rank 3...?!"

"...!" Upon taking notice that the blonde-haired man was able to see the notifications before him, Jace turned towards him in confusion. "You can see it...?"

"Uhuh, yeah, I can! The link became Rank 3!" Landon nodded his head. "It's what you're seeing too, right???"

"...yeah," Jace answered, soon falling into deep thought.

Back when the bond: "Whiff & Indolence" ranked up to two, Landon had not received a single notification regarding the rank up until Jace had personally told him. For him to suddenly receive one now was unexpected.

"What's with that face???" Landon raised his brow in confusion.

"...it's nothing," Jace shook his head in reply. "Since the bond is finally Rank 3, I'll go ahead and check the details."
