FRED IS BED-RIDDEN
The smoke dispersed and Pearl came into view.
Her eyes searching around before it landed on Fred.
She quickly ran to where he was lying on the floor.
A broken pillar landed on Fred's legs due to the explosion.
While Godfrey and Annalise were completely covered with the destructions, many blocks and planks of the exploded house were on them.
Jasper on the other hand is lying far away from Fred but he is injured on the hand and still unconscious.
Fred is also unconscious too.
She shook him but he wasn't responding, she held his head and placed it on her lap.
She couldn't pull him out alone.
Pearl looked up and called for assistance.
"Joseph come over please" she called, tears in her eyes to Joseph who is already approaching her hurriedly.
This was how it happened, how Pearl survived…..
★FLASHBACK★
After Emma and Joseph ran to the fight, Joseph took another route since he was already alarmed it was Godfrey and his men who attacked.
He had his own other plans anyway.
He ran to one of the room, closest to the exit door.
Inside the room was a man pacing round the room.
Joseph got to him.
" what took you so long" the man asked.
" Forget that, its nothing, so whats his plans, did you get to know them"
" Of course I had to convince the guard he sent to carry out his plan with some sun of money before he could tell me, I even took risk of coming here, you know how Godfrey can be and it's not easy entering this clan without getting noticed" the man ranted.
Joseph rolled his eyes, he was talking too much.
" Are you telling me the plan or not" he said impatiently.
" Fine fine, the plan goes like this, Godfrey sent that guard to send explosions to the DCC clan and it was received by a lady named Annalise, who would plant the explosive in the building, their aim is that, Godfrey would distract Fred's attention on the fight, and lure Fred's woman into the building then blow it off before killing Fred too, that's all i got"
" f*ck" Joseph cursed under his breath.
He knew his sister was working for Godfrey, they all were just that he was a spy, but he never imagined his sister would go as far as hurting their childhood friend and his clan.
He also knows his sis has a great crush on Fred and would go any extent to get his love.
He also doesn't know how she got involved with Godfrey.
He snapped out of his thoughts.
" I have to go save Pearl" he muttered, more to himself.
He was about going out when the man stopped him.
" What about my pay" the man asked.
Joseph glared at him
" f*ck off, I would pay you later, save your f*cking ass and be alive to get your pay"
He said before running out.
He got to the fight but everyone were busy fighting.
He also fought some while searching for Pearl.
At that time, the guard who was ordered to send the explosive was presently fighting Pearl.
He was quiet strong and dodged Pearl's attacks, secretly luring her into the building, just as commanded.
Joseph was the only one who noticed.
He dealt with the one he was currently fighting and ran to where Pearl was.
She was already inside the building.
He was also grateful Fred had ordered for the maids and weaker ones to be brought to the clans warehouse, so he doesn't have to worry saving other people.
He searched for her before finding her.
The guard was nowhere to be seen.
Joseph to her.
" Pearl we need to leave this building now"
Pearl looked at him with creased brow.
" Is there something wrong," she asked wondering why the guard ran away and now Joseph telling her to leave the building.
" I would explain to you later, but right now both our lives are on the line, we need to leave now"
Joseph said seriously.
Pearl could only comply, there was no joke on his face.
Joseph pulled her hand quickly running, and thankfully they were close to the back door, which would lead them to the warehouse.
Just as they stepped out of the building and were kilos away, the house exploded, making them fall.
Pearl's eyes widened.
" Fred!! " she shouted inwardly.

That was how it all happened and she came looking for Fred only to find him in the critical situation.
Jasper was already gaining consciousness, cause he moved slightly.
Joseph came closer with some guards who helped the injured to the warehouse.
They helped Jasper up but he looked around.
" Where's Mia"
He asked still looking around.
One of the guard who knew who he is looking for spoke,
" she's already taken to the infirmary, she's wounded a little "
He nodded and turned to find Joseph and some guard trying to pull Fred out of the pillar.
His eyes widened.
" Fred" he called and limped to where he is.
" Fred" he called again.
" He has lost consciousness, and… " Pearl couldn't continue as tears rolled down her eyes.
They finally pulled him out and put him on the emergency bed, taking him to the infirmary.
Their professional Doctor was already called.
Though he was injured, Jasper pulled Pearl to him, hugging her as he consoled her.
" Don't worry Fred is a strong man he would be alright"
Pearl hiccuped.
She pulled away and looked at him.
" You are also wounded, you need to treat your wounds"
Jasper nodded as Pearl escorted him to the infirmary.
The infirmary is a very big place in DCC where all the injured clans members get their wounds treated.
All equipments you can find in the hospital are all there. It's just like a private hospital.
They got to the infirmary and Jasper was taken to where he could treat his wound.
Pearl met Joseph there too as he helped the last person in.
She walked to him and he turned to her.
She smiled at him.
" Thank you so much Joseph, you have been a great help to us all, am grateful, if not for you I would have been dead by now"
Joseph sighed and smiled at her.
" Am glad you're alive, and there's no need thanking me I was helping my baby brother's wife anyway' he winked.
Pearl laughed a little.
She had gotten the wrong impression of him at the beginning but now with what he had done for the clan, she got a better impression of him.
Before she could say anything, a manly matured voice resounded.
" What the h*ll happened here…. "
