Night fell over Camberwell once again, and the streetlamps were beginning to be lit as James began his normal patrol.
Having felt reinvigorated from his almost full kiss with Edwin the night before, James finally had a good day’s sleep. The best he had since he was a boy. He walked the streets with an energy that he had forgotten he possessed.
“I wish tonight was Mrs. Porter’s dinner party… I want to see him,” he said softly to himself as he continued down the streets.
Several hours went by and still, James saw nothing. He couldn’t even sense anything anymore. That was until he began to walk through the country and a piercing ring stabbed right into his right ear. To negate it, he shook his head.
It turned to the left instinctually and he gasped as he saw two men fighting. His eyes widened as he realized it was between a vampire and a familiar figure.
The vampire struck forward and slashed at the man’s chest with his claws.
