The next day, Melissa opened her eyes and realized that she was in the apartment with Maxwell hugging her tightly while he was sleeping. Melissa got a chance to look at his face properly.

Her face flushed red, "How can you be so handsome, Maxwell? You know looking at you makes me feel guilty because I'm not as beautiful as you. But anyway, I just hope our babies look like you." Melissa murmured, looking at Maxwell's face.

"Who told you that you're not as beautiful as me?" Maxwell asked lazily as he opened his eyes. Melissa's eyes widened in embarrassment, and she felt like the ground would swallow her alive. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that," Melissa stammered. "How did we get here?" Melissa asked, trying to change the topic.

Maxwell decided to let her off the hook. "It's okay, baby doll. I'm the one who brought you here. The weather changed last night, and it started raining, so I brought you here."

"Please let go of me, I need to go to the bathroom," Melissa said when she felt like vomiting.

Maxwell saw her face paling, he immediately let go of her, and Melissa rushed to the bathroom. As soon as she reached there, she started vomiting. Maxwell rushed to the bathroom too. "Are you okay, baby doll?" Maxwell asked as he patted her back gently.

Melissa rinsed her mouth with water. "I'm fine, I think it's morning sickness. It happened during pregnancy, I'm absolutely fine."

Maxwell clenched his jaw and swallowed hard. He wished he could share the pain with her, but he knew he couldn't. All he could do was stay by her side. "I wish I could share this pain with you… It breaks my heart to see you in pain," Maxwell said.

Melissa looked into Maxwell's eyes with a smile on her lips. "It's all worth it, Maxwell. Soon we'll be holding our little babies in our very own arms, our little babies. So don't be sad, okay? I'm fine," Melissa said.

Maxwell smirked when an idea flashed in his mind. "Now that we are in the bathroom, why don't we take a shower together? We'll be saving time so that we can reach home sooner, don't you think?"

"B-B," Melissa stuttered.

"Hush, baby doll. Don't be shy. We did a lot of things together. Yesterday I changed your clothes too, so why are you so shy? It's just a shower and nothing else," Maxwell said. He pulled Melissa's nightdress down, leaving her with only her pants. He took off his clothes and led Melissa inside the shower. He watched as the steam filled the bathroom, creating a dense fog that enveloped everything in the small space. The sound of the water hitting the tiles echoed off the walls as Melissa stood beside him in the shower, her skin glistening in the dim light.

She turned to him, a small smile on her lips as she reached out to adjust the temperature of the water. Maxwell couldn't help but feel a surge of desire at the sight of her naked body, the drops of water cascading down her curves.

He moved closer, the warmth of the water enveloping him as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. Mellisa's hands moved to his chest, tracing circles as she leaned up to kiss him.

Their lips met, the steam and the water creating a sense of intimacy that few other moments could match. Maxwell let out a low growl as he deepened the kiss, his hands moving down her back to pull her even closer.

Mellisa moaned into his mouth, her hands sliding down to the small of his back as she pressed her body against his. Maxwell felt his desire growing, his hands moving to the curves of her hips as he lifted her up, her legs wrapping around his waist as he positioned himself inside of her.

The water and the steam felt like a cocoon, a world where only they existed as they moved together in unison, their bodies molding to one another as they made love.

Maxwell felt his release building, the intensity of the moment almost too much to bear as he buried his face into Mellisa's neck, his breaths coming in ragged gasps as she tensed around him, the feeling of her climax sending him over the edge.

They stayed like that for a moment, their bodies shaking with the aftershocks of their lovemaking as they clung to one another in the steamy shower. Finally, Maxwell drew back, his eyes meeting Mellisa's in a wordless exchange of emotion and love.

"I-Is this what you call taking a shower together and saving time?" Melissa stammered, breaking eye contact and the silence.

Maxwell smirked, his eyes still on Melissa. "This is the best shower I've ever had in my whole life," Maxwell said. "Your presence makes me think of all the crazy things, and I can't resist your enchanting beauty. You've become my oxygen. If I don't have enough of you, I will get sick. If I have nothing of you, I can't live at all," Maxwell said, pulling Melissa into a hug, steamy water cascading down their bodies.

Melissa's face flushed and she said nothing and rested her head on Maxwell's chest.

.....

At the Nadia mansion.

Liana sat on the bed, stretching her body. She looked beside her and found Zick's place empty. She frowned and was about to call for him, thinking that he was in the bathroom, when the door opened and Zick entered the room.

"Where have you been all night?" Liana asked Zick, who walked towards the bed and sat on the edge, looking at her.

"Who do you think you are to ask about my whereabouts?" Zick asked coldly, glaring at Liana.

Liana blinked at Zick and swallowed hard. "Zick, what happened to you? We are going to get married for God's sake."

Zick snorted loudly, rolling his eyes. "Did you really think that I was going to marry you? Like seriously, Zick Nadia marrying a whore like you? Come on, be serious right now. I'm not going to marry you, but you will stay here as my mistress. Mellisa is going to be my wife. A woman like you is not meant to be married but meant to be a kept woman. You will raise my baby as a mistress in this house," Zick said coldly, glaring at Tina.

Liana's eyes widened, yet her brows furrowed, her lungs constricted making it hard for her to breathe. She looked at Zick in disbelief and swallowed hard. How dare he call her a whore, just how dare he?? He was the one who took away her innocence and promised to marry her after divorcing Melissa, then what happened to him. Liana swallowed all the lumps in her throat and forced words out of her mouth. "Zick, am I a whore to you now??" She asked, trying to hold back her tears. "You are the first man I have had sex with in my whole life yet you are calling me a whore today."

Zick scoffed indifferently, "Did I point a gun at your head to have sex with you? No, I didn't. You opened your legs instead of your mind on your own. Don't try to blame me for that." Zick said. "You must know by now that women are like food, easy to expire, and one can easily lose appetite for food too. So, Miss Liana, I've lost interest in you, and you have expired. I found someone new who is not you. So, you will stay here as my mistress."

Liana's stomach hardened, her muscles weakened, and her limbs trembled. The tears she had been trying to hold back finally fell from her eyes. "Zick, you are a monster," she stammered, tears streaming down her face. "I love you, Zick Nadia, but I still have my self-respect. I'm going to leave this house and go to my parents' house, I will raise my baby on my own . I just can't stay here as your mistress," Liana said, hunching over as if swallowing her sobs.

Zick moved towards Liana and grabbed her chin, making sure she looked into his cold eyes. "Listen to me very carefully, you are not going anywhere. You are going to stay here and raise my baby in this house," Zick said coldly. "If you dare to go against my words, then I will make sure that your father's company goes bankrupt within a snap of a finger. I'm sure you don't want him to suffer a heart attack again." Zick pushed Liana onto the pillow and left the room.

Liana clutched the pillow tightly and burst into tears. She thought that Zick was going to set their wedding date soon, now that she was pregnant. But she didn't expect him to turn his back on her in such a way. She was heartbroken, hurt, and couldn't describe the pain she was feeling in her heart. She thought Zick loved her, but now that he had finally taken off the mask he was wearing, she felt guilty for what she did to Melissa. Now she understood her pain very well, and she was helpless. She could have left, but she knew better than anyone what would happen if she went against Zick's words. She could not let her father suffer a heart attack because the doctor said that the heart attack he might have now might take his life.
