Chapter 64 Extra sweet

After ensuring that Linda was sound asleep, she gently placed her on the soft pillow and made her way to the kitchen. As she walked, she nibbled on her fingernail, feeling a slight shiver run down her spine. Despite the challenges she faced with the ectogenesis procedure, where she attempted to grow her three babies outside of her womb, she remained hopeful. Although the procedure was painful and unsuccessful, she refused to give up on her babies. She knew that Zick, her so-called Ex-husband, would not let this situation go easily, but she was determined to do everything in her power to ensure the safety of her precious children. With a heart full of hope and a mind full of determination, she was ready to face any challenge that came her way.

After reaching the kitchen, Melissa stood there not knowing what to do. The maids were doing all the work. Melissa ran her hands through her hair, her throat closing up. With a frustrated sigh, she left the kitchen and headed to the dining room. Walking to the couch, she sat down and tried to watch TV, but nothing was interesting. She ended up switching it off.

Her eyes lit up when she heard footsteps coming from the main door. She tilted her head and saw Maxwell. She quickly rose off the couch and ran toward him, giving him a tight hug, leaving him caught off guard. He wasn't expecting a hug from her. He rubbed her back lovingly with a smile.

"Did you miss me?" he asked.

"Mmh," Melissa replied.

"I was missing you too, that's why I came home early, just to spend time with you," Maxwell murmured with a smile, still rubbing her hair.

Melissa pulled away from the hug and looked up at Maxwell's face, her eyes shining with tears but she did not let them fall out of her eyes. "Maxwell," she called him, taking him into hers. "I'm scared, my babies are in danger. Please chase Tina out of this house, I'm sure she is helping Zick with everything and they have planned something big to harm our babies." Melissa said. "Today she slapped Linda so hard that she cried a lot until she fell asleep." Just give her the money that she wants and kick her out.

Maxwell's face reddened and his eyes turned cold, he could feel a burning heat flushing through his body and his muscles started quivering. "She did what?" Maxwell growled through gritted teeth.

Melissa's chest tightened seeing Maxwell's anger, she quickly raised her hand and touched his face lovely. "Hey! Don't get angry, I slapped her back as soon as she slapped Linda. Thankfully I came at the right time. I'm just telling the owner of the house to take care of this.

Maxwell's anger vanished into a tiny air like he was never angry, he smiled and pulled Melissa into his arms. "I wish I was here to watch you putting her in her place. I honestly love it when you scare people and show them their places you know."

Mellisa smiled. "Maxwell, I like you so much, you are such a gentleman and extra sweet that I don't know why God blessed me by bringing you into my life, I don't wish to leave you ever.

" I'm the lucky one baby doll, I wish we could cuddle forever without anyone to interrupt our bond."

"Let's go and watch something, I just want you near me."

Both Maxwell and Mellisa walked inside the house and sat on the couch in each arm.

...…..

At the office in Mark's cabin.

Mark was engrossed in his work, sifting through important emails when he was interrupted by a knock at the door. He looked up, slightly annoyed, wondering who could be disturbing him. Despite his irritation, he maintained his usual polite tone and invited the person in.

As the door opened, Mark's eyes fell on Michelle, who elegantly sauntered towards him, swaying her hips in a slow, mesmerising motion. He couldn't help but watch her, as if he was in a trance, captivated by her beauty.

"Good evening, Sir," Michelle greeted him, snapping him out of his reverie. "I just wanted to let you know that I'm done for the day. Is there anything else you need me to do?"

Mark's mind raced as he thought of something he could ask her to do. "Actually, there is something," he replied,

Michelle bites her lip, frowning. "I thought I finished everything. Does he want me to die from overworking?" Her mind raced, thinking about what work he wanted her to do now.

"Remember that day you promised me a coffee date?" Mark said, a smirk lingering on his lips as he played with the pen in his hand.

Michelle's brows pulled in slightly as she blinked at Mark, trying to remember the day she had promised him a coffee date. Her stomach sank when she recalled the day she had promised him. "I should have known that all the gentlemen in this world had died. Are you seriously asking for something in return after helping me?" Michelle asked, trying to change the topic.

Mark smirked, he rose from his chair, and sauntered toward Michelle. "I hope you're not trying to go back on your words, Ms. Michelle.

Michelle's heart was pounding so hard that it felt like it might burst out of her chest, causing her knees to weaken. As Mark approached her, her heart rate increased with each step he took. She took a step back and managed to stutter out, "W—-What do you want from me? That's making you want to have a coffee date with me."

"I want you," Mark said softly, taking another step towards Michelle.

Michelle's face turned red, and she felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach, not to mention her heart pounding even harder. She couldn't believe how straightforward Mark was being, almost giving her a heart attack."W–Why do you want me?"

Mark's actions were bold and assertive as he took hold of Michelle's hand and drew her close to him, causing her to collide with his sturdy chest. He gazed directly into her eyes, never once averting his gaze. "I desire to make you mine, to ask you out and make you my girlfriend ," Mark murmured softly into her ear.
