Ruby walked Joey down toward Beau. The soon to be husband only had eyes for the man he was about to marry.
She imagined the day Joey would walk her down the aisle and to her surprise she saw Colt at the end.
'Whoa girl one kiss is not a proposal.' She calmed herself.
The alpha stood ready to officiate.
Their pack was one of the few that supported same-sex couples. "We gather here today to unite two souls in the most sacred right of marriage."
Ruby wiped a tear a way as the alpha spoke of love.
Seeing her best friend marry the love of his life tugged at her heart.
Colt caught her eye and winked making her smile. Beau took the ring from Colt whispered some inside joke that had both men chuckling.
Joey took the ring from Ruby who nearly bungled it.
They exchanged vows and the alpha pronounced them husband and husband.
A cheer went up as they nearly ran down the aisle.
Colt took Ruby's hand and walked with her as people cheered.

The reception area was done in shades of rose hues and midnight blues. Dinner was served and toasts began.
Ruby stood and cleared her throat, "I was asked by Joey and Beau to write them a poem; so, here it is it's called Love and Roses."
She smiled and began to read, "You might not believe love and roses have anything in common, but you would be wrong. Love like a rose comes with thorns that if you aren't careful will draw blood. Love like a rose blooms best when patiently tended. And love like a rose is best shared."
Ruby smiled and raised a glass, "To Joey and Beau may your love always bloom."
Beau was the first that got up and hugged her, "Oh little sister that was beautiful."
Joey wasn't far behind, "That was wonderful."
She handed them her copy and felt their love.
...........................
After dinner there was dancing. Ruby danced with Joey and Beau respectively and together; and of course Colt.
Colt whispered in her ear, "Your poem was lovely."
His lips brushed her ear sending shivers to her core.
Ruby blushed, "Thank you."
He pressed himself against her; holding her so close felt right to him and his inner wolf.
The pack alpha tapped his shoulder, "May I?"
Colt wanted to say no, but he was a guest in the alpha's territory, "Don't wear her out." He smiled.
The pack alpha chuckled, "I'll try not to."
Ruby smiled at Colt as aunt Lulu nabbed him.
"It seems the Irish rouge has you tempted." The alpha spoke making Ruby blush.
The alpha lead her gracefully in the dance, "It's okay Ruby Lee. I know you aren't technically one of mine, but you always were like a daughter." His voice got low, "It is why I swore to see you safe. You need to come see me tomorrow Ruby."
Stunned she nodded her head.
