just an average life for an average girl until she finds a not so average drop dead gorgeous hunk on her door step looking for her. The Last Unicorn

Donavan was covered in blood. His hide was stained. Seelie and Will were in their man beast forms just as stained. 'Damn this dark mage to Hell.' He thought. 


He had stolen children from the human realm to use as slaves and experiments. 


Shifting to his human form Donavan saw Will punch a wall, "What in the name of the Gods was the fool trying to do?" 


 Donavan answered, "He was trying to make an army. The magic or shifting gene can be found in humans who have ancestors who were other." 


Seelie swallowed, "The bastard! He sent them to die against us." 


The men faced her. She was taller than all of them and her skin was ashen, "Yes Lady Greystone." Donavan answered. 


Lady Greystone did not hide the tears, "The mage....he has spelled the room where the survivors are kept." 


Will was frustrated' "So break it. The drow are known from their ability to break enchantments." 


Lady Greystone shook her head, "Will...it can't be broken by normal means. It is dark magic." 


Two men dragged a beaten bloody mess of a man, "Only the horn of a unicorn can set free my children." He cackled. 


Seelie punched him, "THEY ARE NOT YOUR CHILDREN!" 


Donavan and the others walked to the mouth of the room. The children need out of there. He saw the dirty faces and saw his child. He stood tall knowing he'd never see his beautiful wife or get to meet his daughter, "Do it." 


Seelie sat in his chair. He was about to destroy Ruby's image of him. This girl who he helped raise and protect. She didn't even know what she was or how important. 


He looked to Colt he was a rare breed of shifter. The faoladh were natural protectors of innocence and often were knights assigned to protect noble maidens like Ruby Lee in the old days. 


Shaking his head he chuckled at how the Gods weave the tapestry of fate. 


"First..." the old alpha cleared his throat, "Let us deal with why Colt is here. I was not expecting you both or to find you kissing in my driveway." 


Colt squeezed Ruby's hand before he stood to kneel before the alpha. 


"I, Colt MacKenzie of the clan Cú Síth seek permission to claim Ruby Lee daughter of the pack Wolfsburg as my mate." 


Ruby's breath hitched. Colt kept his head lowered a sign of respect to the alpha. Seelie laid a hand on his head. 


"I, Seelie, the guardian of and alpha of the Wolfsburg pack can only grant this if you truly swear to protect her as not just a mate but by the laws that govern you as a faoladh." 


Colt lifted his head, "I swear it by the Gods and by the old ways." 


Seelie lowered his head his age showing as a heavy weight was lifted. 


"I will remember that oath Colt. When I reveal to Ruby why I called her here she will need you."
