Chapter Thirty six

I came downstairs and found Dad burying his head in his hand and mum staring into space with tears in her eyes. What was wrong, how much did yesterday's event hurt them? Mum! I whispered her name, I thought she wouldn't hear me but she turned and stare at me before averting her eyes, why she couldn't stare at me, I turned to Dad but he hadn't spoken a word. This wasn't about yesterday, it was something else. Mum! I called again but much louder, "what happened! She didn't look up at me again but kept staring in space, my heart pounded on my chest. What could be wrong now?.... I look and saw the envelope on the floor in front of mum. what could this be...Did I take it up immediately with a trembling finger? Opening it I saw it was from my school but why! What is the message all about...... " Letter of exposure" My head spin, what! I tried reading it to the end but only grab about lawbreaking. Yeah, I broke the law by sneaking out to visit Sam, who doesn't want to have anything to do with me now. What about Nancy! She couldn't be expelled too, because of my mistake. I rushed upstairs, I heard mum screamed my name but I didn't stop I have to make sure that my mistake didn't affect her too, picking up my phone, I dialed the supervisor's number and pace as it rings, pick up I muttered in frustration. "Hope you have gotten your letter" I heard his voice at the other end and listen as he chuckled, "you think you can play such a prank on me. Well... Guess what, I couldn't tolerate it, so I did what was necessary" I fumed in anger, I wanted to shout and curse his name but instead, I listen to his nonsense. "And don't ever try to play smart because no one would believe you even if you tell they'll all say you want pity" he laughs, I could imagine his flirty mouth opening and closing. "How about Nancy! I decided to ask him before I say any disgusting word to him. " oh! Your friend, you don't have to worry she's safe" he said knowing he was enjoying this. I nodded before I heard him talking to someone and paper flipping before the line was disconnected. I stood there with the phone still on my ears, I wanted to cry, shout and turn the clock back but it wasn't possible I can't even shed a tear but my heart was broken. I turned and saw mum looking at me with tears in her eyes. I have run them all, I have brought disgrace upon me and them also, I wasn't worth to be called their child. My head pounded heavily and I saw the room spin, I saw mum saying something what was she saying before she could reach out to me, I felt darkness clouded my vision and then nothing else.
