Chapter 25
I get to the basketball court and I spot Scott and Kim whose full name is Kim Gang tae but he prefers people calling him Kim.
"Hey man what's up" Kim says as I approach the center of the court. "I'm cool" I say and Scott looks amused. "What?" I asked Scott. "Don't tell me Kelly is getting to you this much" Scott teases "Fuck off!" I say to him with a sneer and he throws his hands up in surrender. "Chill dude.." he says as he bounces the ball.
"Hey man.. really what's up with you?.. and who was that girl who apologized to you from earlier?" Kim asks. "She's a thorn in my flesh!" I say as I grab a ball and start bouncing it. "More like your nemesis" Scott says teasingly and I glare at him he smirks and shoots the ball and scores. He continues to play on his own because Kim had stopped playing the moment I walked in.
"How did you guys start talking?" Kim asks. "We aren't talking okay?.. she's just really obnoxious and she's a meddler big time!. She's always where ever I am and she's fond of giving me a lecture too" I say through gritted teeth.
"Oh" Kim simply says "Yeah.. she behaves like a Mom or a teacher and she tires me out" I say as I stand in front of Kim I've stopped bouncing the ball because it's not helping to calm me down.
"So why did she slap you?" Kim asks and I flashback to today's class and squeeze my knuckles. "What happened?" Kim asks still waiting for my answer so I tell him everything and he starts laughing at me so does Scott. I look at both of them with a frown on my face. "Seriously?.. you guys are laughing?. This isn't funny" I say to them with all seriousness. "We are sorry man.. but this is hilarious" Kim says "I agree" Scott says in between laughs.
"Why did you even do that in the first place? Why did you implicate in your reading? You should have just read the script yourself" Scott says. "I wanted to embarrass her or get under her skin. I just wanted to annoy her the way she's been annoying me ever since we bumped into each other in the hallway" I say "And it backfired on you" Kim says stifling a laugh that's threatening to come out from his mouth.
I sigh in defeat Kelly has succeeded in messing with my head. I run my hand through my hair in frustration. "Okay dude.. you need to calm down and ignore her okay? Don't let her upset you anymore. She's not even your type so just let her be and with time she'll leave you alone and stay out of your business" Kim advices me.
"Yeah.. just ignore her and stay away from her. I'm really surprised Kelly did that to you... she's normally chill she never striked me as feisty or defensive" Scott says. "Well she is!" I say to Scott in an irritated voice.
"Sorry dude I didn't mean to piss you off even more" Scott says and I rub my face with my palms and sigh heavily. "Come on dude. Let's go somewhere chill so you can get your mind of that chick" Kim suggests and we all leave the basketball court.
