Chapter 110

Adrian's Pov

I just want to tell Kelly the whole truth about the bet and everything. I just want to be sincere with her so that we can start on a clean slate but as I open my mouth to say it "Kelly.." I call her and she turns to me with a chocolate chip cookie in her hand "yes" she answers

"You should maybe apply for a short term experience with glass house publishing company" I say instead and I mentally scolds myself for not telling the truth. I'm scared.. I don't know.. how to tell her and what her reaction will be.

"Really?.. you think they'll take me?" Kelly asks Adrian "yeah.. I mean what's the harm?.. just apply and see if it works out for you" Adrian says to Kelly and Kelly sighs

"Okay.. I'll apply.. uhh the company is in LA right?" Kelly asks "yeah" Adrian says as he scratched the back of his neck nervously Kelly smiles at him and he can feel his heart skip seeing her smile.

"I'll go home briefly to visit my parents and.. Jake" Kelly says getting Adrian's attention when she mentions Jake

"I.. I need to end things with Jake Adrian.. I.. I can't.. be with him and be with you at the same time that's not right and it's not fair to both of you. I know that we aren't a couple yet but I don't want to keep feeling guilty by leading Jake on.. when I'm in love with you and not him" Kelly confesses

Adrian cups Kelly's face in his hands "Kelly.. I.. I want this with you.. Kelly will you be my girlfriend?" Adrian asks Kelly and Kelly gapes at his question for some seconds

"Yes!.. Adrian I'll be your girlfriend" Kelly says and Adrian gives her a kiss on her temple

"Thank you Kelly" he says to her as he pressed their heads together their noses only inches apart and Kelly smiles and brushes her nose against Adrian's

Scott follows Ashley to the open field "Scott stop following me!" Ashley says "Ash.. I know you're not okay.. you don't have to put up a brave appearance and pretend to be okay" Scott says as Ashley continues to walk down the grass field

"There's nothing wrong with me Scott I'm fine!" She says angrily Scott takes her hand and turns her to face him

"Ash.." Scott says as his pupils dilate while looking at Ashley "I'm okay.. this is nothing Scott.. most of the people I love have hurt me..you know that.. I got over them and I'll also get over Kimberly Scott" Ashley says as she feels a pang in her chest and she gulps because she's trying very hard not to shed a tear

Scott looks at her and then takes her by her hand and leads her back to her room

He closes the door and makes her sit on her bed. "For once.. I just wanted to have some true love.. I.." Ashley's voice cracked "it's okay Ash.." Scott says

"And she didn't even give me a call again.. I'm sure she has left and she's no longer on campus" Ashley says as she feels tears brimming in her eyes
