Chapter 148

Miguel's pov

"I will like for you to keep you legs straight, and your hands by your side," she instructs.

"I don't think I can manage that," I gasped out in pain.

"You have to try," she walked to my legs and helped me keep it straight despite the blinding pain that went through me when I kept my legs straight.

"It's okay. It's going to be over soon," she touched my forehead, and I succumbed to sleep. The pain dulling as I dozed off.

*

"Miguel?" I heard my mommy call out to me.

"Moon goddess?" I opened my eyes, but the heavy feeling on my eyes made me doze off again.

*

The cry of a baby woke me up this time around.

"It's okay little boy. Daddy is going to wake very soon, and he will carry you."

" Little boy? " I slowly asked, and tried to sit up. But pain unlike none I've ever felt gripped my lower body. My stomach feeling like it's on fire.

" You're awake?"mom walked over to me. A little wrapped human on her arms.

" I gave birth to a son?" I ask despite the pain I felt.

I don't know why, but the idea I gave birth to a boy doesn't sit well with me.

I've hoped to give birth to a girl because that's what my mates, the fathers want. They want a baby girl and not a baby boy.

"Wait a minute," mom walked to the other side, and slowly dragged the crib towards me "that's your daughter sleeping in there," she points at the little thing taking a nap in the crib that was bought for her.

Only when I saw her did I realize something "I gave birth to twins?" I blink up at her in surprise.

"Yes," she nods as she tries to console the crying boy.

"Give him to me," now that I've seen a girl, I don't feel angry having a boy.

If anything it made me happy I gave birth to twins just like my dead mother inlaw give birth to triplets.

The moment mother placed him on my arms, he stopped crying..

"He seems to know who his daddy is," mom glared at the little baby who wasn't even aware of her existence.

His eyes were closed. His breathing shallow like that of a person at sleep.

" Where's the moon goddess?" I looked round the room but she was nowhere to be found.

"Do you mean the kind woman who helped you deliver them?" mom raised a brow in question.

I nodded " where's she?"

I want to really thank her. She've tried for me.

" She left after giving me things to feed the babies with, but she told me to tell you she will return soon."

I nod. I will be looking forward to hee visit.

Mom took the baby in my arms and placed him beside his sleeping sister.

"Just see how cute my grandchildren are," she smiled at the sleeping babies "I don't think any other child can match their cuteness."

I smiled at the grandma and her sleeping grandchildren with their blonde and black hair. The boy have dark blonde mass of hair while the girl have the same ebony dark hair as I.

"Have you thought of the names to give them?" Mom looked at me on question.

I know the fathers would have loved to name their children, but I can't leave them nameless until the fathers decide they want them.

" I don't need to think about it. Am naming them Nabel and Lijah."

At my words, a tear slipped my mother's eyes "you're naming them after your father and I?"

I nod "you two have been my solid foundation in my tempestuous time. You've been my only drop of water in the desert. It's only fitting I name them after you two."

It's a honour to have my babies named after my loving parents who were there for me when duty called for danger.

Mother didn't allow me endure all these alone. She was there for me when all left me.

*

Mond and Solomon visited me on the third day.

" The girl really looks like her handsome uncle, " Mond boasts as he carried Nabel up.

"Shut up. How can she look like your ugly arse? if anything she looks like me," Solomon who was carrying the boy looks smugly at his mate.

" You?" Mond scoffed "how can she look like your ugly self? if anything she looks like me. Can't you see my hair?" he touched his red locks.

"Uhm Mond?" I called out to him from my position on the bed

"Yes Daddy of two. What's it?" Mond smirked when he called me daddy of two.

"Nabel's locks are black and not red," I point out the obvious to him.

He looked at my daughter and back at me before frowning " you know my locks are indirectly black,  and not red. Are you indirectly siding with Solomon?" he stands up with Nabel still on his arms "let's go to the parlour baby girl. There's enough hate for us here."

He stormed out of my room, but not before throwing a glare Solomon's way.

" I guess am on trouble tonight. Goddess only knows where I will sleep since we don't have a large couch at home," Solomon sighs.

"You should have thought of that before you made him angry."

"You were also among!" Solomon angrily points at me.

I smile "luckily for me. Am not his mate."

"I will go out there to talk to him. Hopefully he will forgive me," Solomon carried my son off to the parlour. Leaving me alone in my room.

Alone to my thoughts.

It've been three days now, and am yet to fully walk without feeling any pain whatsoever.

Mother said the moon goddess told her I will be able to go back to my normal self in a week time, and fully heal in two weeks time. Meaning I will be able to go back to work in a month time.
