Miguel's pov
Mond ran into my room as I was still calculating the days it will take for me to be fully healed for things.
"Who are your babies?" he asked when I raised a brow in question.
"I don't get your question,"
"Are your babies human or Wolves?" he looked at the baby on his arms.
I will be a liar if I say I've not not thought on his question because I have, but the problem is I've not yet thought deeper about things.
I've not yet deduced who my babies might be.
"I don't know," I shrug to tell him I don't care what they turn out to be. I don't care if they're humans or werewolves, what I care of is their happiness.
"You know. There's something odd about you."
He sits on the bed, and carefully arranged the baby on his arms.
" Good strange or bad strange? " I look at him in question.
" Depends. " he looked at me " in the rare cases of a werewolf having a human mate, the human female is always turned wolf to enable her birth the baby, but you weren't turned when you have birth to this darling."
His words made me recall my conversation with Damien those months ago, when I asked him why they don't have my mark but I do theirs.
He also talked about a female being turned wolf when she's pregnant.
"It must be because of the moon goddess. She might have known what to do to help me safe deliver."
That will explain why there was no need of turning me to a wolf because she was the one who did the job.
" That there is another odd thing about you. No wolf, and I repeat. No werewolf can boast of seeing the moon goddess, at least not the ones who are alive, bit you've manged to see her twice and hear her voice thrice yet you're still alive.
She haven't for once visited any birthing center, but she was here for you when it was time for you to deliver. Not only was she here to help you deliver safely, but she gave your children their food, an gave you medicine for the pains."
He looks as if these things are not to be lightly considered
"It might be because am the first male to ever get pregnant. She came to help me because otherwise mother and I will be quite clueless about things related to child delivery."
That will explain her need to help me out.
Mond nods before a bright glint appeared in his eyes.
"What's it now? I know you always plan mischievous things when you have that glint on your eyes."
His eyes always been sparkles whenever he's either trying to gossip, or is up to no good.
" Your boyfriend have been worried non stop about you for days." He wiggled his brow.
" Boyfriend? Who's my boyfriend?" I look at him in confusion.
The only boyfriends I have are the fathers to my children,. It's an Impossibility to find them anywhere near this town after they made it perfectly clear they want nothing to do with me or my babies.
"The one who buys more books than he needs, and checks out almost everyday."
" Oh him? " I smiled a little when I recalled how kind he was to buy those things for me despite the distance it must have taken him.
"Is that all you're going to say? oh him?" Mond raised a brow " he will be really heart broken if he's to know what you just said now."
"Why should he be heartbroken?"
"A package arrived me for you. I will go bring it," Solomon placed my son on my waiting hands and walked out to get the package.
"You still receive those?" Mond raised a brow up at me.
I nod.
I've once confined in Mond about the strange gifts I receive from an anonymous source.
"My babies' clothes where all brought by the same person, and mom is convinced it's father, but I don't think that's the case."
"You think it might be your mates who're sending them?"
The moment he voiced those words out, I became aware I've been indirectly hoping it's my mates sending them. That way I will be happy to know they still think of me.
I nod.
"Stop sleeping Miguel. I know mates are for life, but I don't think it's the Triplets. Wolves have their prides, and sending these things isn't something an Alphas does especially ones like the Triplets.
It might not be your father sending those things, but it's certainly not your mates."
His words made my countenance sour. I know they're not the ones sending them, but I wish he didn't voice it out like that.
It was better when I was thinking of them being the ones sending them. Knowing they're not the ones makes me want to coul down in my bed and cry myself to sleep.
"Here's your package," Solomon dropped the heavy looking box on the table.
"Open it," I said without feeling enthusiastic at all. If anything I feel low in the spirit.
Last last it wasn't my mates sending them.
"This is mainly for the boy currently dressed in pink," he points to the sleeping boy.
Mond laughed "you know I had a hard time identifying the female among them. If not for the hair, I would have thought him the girl."
" Can you blame me for dressing him up as a female when that's the only clothing we have. Nabel was the one we were all expecting."
The girl's clothings were the reason I knew father wasn't the one sending those things because he had countlessly made it perfectly clear he wants a baby boy and not a girl.
"His own have been sent," he brought out a set able crib that's so much like Nabel's except for the blue blanket in it.
"The items came right on time. Am afraid Lijah would have grown up thinking he's a girl."
