Chapter 156 Pain of the Past

     I got to where Xylie and Jack were and I had to pity their state. I owe them a lot,we could not have done this alone. I got to Jack to see that his injury was not much like xylie's own. I placed my hands on his injured arms and muttered the healing spell and he got his body back,I gestured for him to leave us and he did that not without saying thanks.

   I got to where Xylie laid and sat beside his bed.

 "Hey big bro"

   It was awkward addressing him as my bro,I have not real address any one like that.There was no way I could have believed that I will have to adress anyone as my bro. Life just got better, believe me when I say better things are on the way.

  "Hi lil sis"

He said and carressed my hand and I smiled at the gestured,I used the opportunity to get him cure. When he realized that he is in full health,he rose and sat up on the bed.

     I looked around the room and saw that it was my study room in the past.

    Yeah, you heard me right. I was really privileged to be accustomed to a lot of things,things normally I would not have been allowed to do but falling in love with the prince gave me numerous rights.

   I did a lot of things here,it was my gate away from the envious eyes of some of the palace maids. Sometimes, I and the prince spent our days here. 

    I smiled at the memories and forced my attentions back to Xylie.

    "I am so glad to have you here with me big brother"

      'Same here sis,I so much blamed myself for what happened to our parents and your disappearance. I believe what happened would not have happened if I was around"

    He said,I could sense the sadness in his voice.

    "It's not your fault,it's might have been another case. I think destiny took it course.There are reasons things happen and sometimes you can't question destiny,it sure has a away of finding us"

   "I know that but I had to miss you childhood,our parents love, all because of one man's jealousy."

He said and I smiled.

  "It's okay,what matters is that we are together now. Let's forget about the pain of the past and focus on the brighter side of this. I Know mom and dad will be happy to see us together and besides you can take my mom as your mom. She is a wonderful woman and you going to like her"

   I looked closely at him to see that we look so much alike,you could tell we are related. Being a witch has a lot of advantages,you have got to be young for as long as you live,no ageing.

     "I am indeed lucky to have a beautiful soul like you as my sister. Mom will be proud of the lady you have become,thanks for not giving up on your destiny. Our parents death are avenged and I can smiling freely from now onwards"

    I smiled, squeezing his hands on mine.

"You played a major role on this my destiny and I am grateful for looking out for me,I am more grateful."

    I said and he smiled. We are just having brother to sister's moment. That day he came out me at the restaurant,I knew there was something but I could not place my hands on it. I don't I would have known him if not that he opened up who he is,mom was not aware of this neither Tiana or Nora. I don't think any other person like my former parents would have love to share or even Nature and Universe, because anyone would have related it to me in this one week or maybe they were waiting for him to do it himself because they know who will definitely do that.

   "I could see your mate cherish you so much,I wanted to come into the palace when I learnt you were in love with the prince to warned him not to break your heart but I never got the chance to do that because you died even before I could try."

He said and smiled sadly,what's up with this sad look on his face.

   "You have got eyes on me way back?"

I asked and he nodded his head. I have watched movies and read books and have got to understand the brother's nature towards their sisters so I am not surprised he wanted to try.

    "Awnnnn,that's very thoughtful of you but can you put away this your sad look because there is nothing to be sad about again. You are back,mom and dad are happy wherever they are and things are going back to how there were in the south,so what more could you ask for?"

  I said and glared at him and he chuckled,that's more like it.
