Chapter 221 Brother's keeper
I was helplessly sitting in the bathroom with no how of getting out without a towel. The fear of being caught naked was greater than fear of going to office late. I laughed and relaxed more inside the bathroom,I thought of using magic but that will be putting Mrs Smith into trouble so I thought against it.
The only option I have is for me to pray for someone to come into the room by chance and to say my pray was heard even before I prayed was a good sign that my day is going to be awesome. There came a knock on the bathroom door and I heard Xylie's voice. I did not even hear him come into the room
"Nora,you still in the bathroom?"
He asked,I did not know how to tell him that it was a towel that was still keeping me here.
"Yeah,will be through soon but please can you help me with a towel if you don't mind"
"Sure I don't mind"
He said shifting in the background. I sighed with a grateful heart,I would have stay in this bathroom for heaven knows when.
The knock came again and I moved over to the door to get the towel,I crackef the door open and took the towel from him.
"Thanks Xylie,you are a darling"
I said wrapping myself up with the towel.
"What brought you here?"
"You are welcome,I brought coffee for you. You were taking long so I decided to get your coffee down here."
He said trying not to yell and I wondered why his voice was a bit high. Does he think I could not hear him?.
"Okay,thanks so much. Will be out in a jiffy"
I responded.
"Alright,see you then.. I am leaving the room"
He said and within few seconds,I heard the door closing. I waited for a while and pulled the bathroom door open and walked out.
I cracked my neck and walked towards the dressing table to behold a cup of coffee. I removed the cover and saw that he brewed the coffee how I like it. It was creamy and I bet it will be tasty too.
I settled down on the seat and took a sip.
It was how I like that it. For Xylie to bring me a coffee shows that he is Gina's bro. They have a way for making you feel you are loved. Come to think of it,I do that to people a lot. For them to behave like it,it means our blood runs through them because that's how everyone in the family behaves.
We are our brother's keeper and no matter how tough things get for us,we stand to see the end. Unity and loving one another has been our fighting luck for ages.
Dad has mentioned to us how his fathers before fought alongside the first warrior queen to help her in her quest and I think that's why the queen had came through us the second time.
I took another sip of the coffee and shake off the memories. I learnt a lot from Dad. He was my best friend and he still my best friend.
I pray that my mate if I am to have one should be more of my dad because Dad is someone who will die for your happiness. I had never see Mom complain of him,he made sure that Mom got all his attention and still have more to give to us.
Having him as a father was the best part of my life,he is the best father anyone could have.
"Dad I will still choose you over and over again and for what you taught me and my siblings,it paved way for us in life and made life smooth for us. Though Kurin is not here,I am sure he is grateful and Sharon is grateful too. I, myself is most grateful. Thanks for being a father to all of us."
I sipped the last drop of my coffee and place the coffee cup on the table. I picked her body lotion and ran some quantities across my palmed. I have really spent time and I am meant to be at the face by 8 am. I am sure it's past 7 am. Going to the bathroom without a towel was my delay this morning so I don't need wasting time again,
I massaged my ankles and stood up to go in search of a dress in Gina's closet.
I saw one with less pink. It almost white with pink stripe,I picked it and hurriedly put it on,I wore my sandals. I did a light make up and packed everything that belongs to me into my bag and stepped out of her room not without looking back to see if I left something. I don't know when I am going to be here again but I feel it's going to be soon.
