Chapter 222 Humans are Unpredictable

    I walked into the living room to see Mom and Xylie discussing while the television was on. She beamed when she saw me.

   "My baby is leaving, I miss you already"

She said and sniffed and I laughed. She is indeed dramatic and that's one trait Gina did not fail to extract from her.

   "Oh Mom please is not like I am going to die. I visit anytime I want so don't be too dramatic,it still early for all that."

I said with a straight face and she laughed. I went over and hugged her.

  "Don't mind Mom,I am here and she has not been this affectionate"

Xylie said and threw his face way. Mom stiffed and looked shocked from his statement. I became worried.

    "Mom you know his joking right"

I whispered to her  and she relaxed a bit.

  "Gosh, Xylie that was harsh. You know Mom in and out."

I said glaring at him. He looked confused and I bet he did not understand that the statement he made was a harsh one.

   "Mom really,I was joking. You should know me by now"

Mom sighed and pulled away from my embrace. To think we were still hugging the whole thing was something hilarious.

    She walked over to his space at the couch and sat down.

    "I should know you by now but I was afraid to think I was doing something you don't like"

"No Mom,I was just kidding. You know you are the best"

 What he said brought happiness to her face,I smiled at how happy she is. I feel Gina did her a great favour by asking her to mother Xylie for her. Gina and I had thought how she was going to cope without Gina around without knowing that nature has something good in store for her.

  I cleared my throat and they both looked up

"Sorry to interrupt son and mom moment but I need to leave now. It was nice having dinner with you both and I look forward to coming again"

"Alright dear,here is your home. Feel free to visit anytime,any day. You are always welcomed"

Mom said and I smiled.

    "Thanks Nora for visiting,glad to have had you. See you soon"

Xylie said and both off them walked me to the door.

     "Okay then,see you both again"

With the look on Mrs Smith face, I know she did not want me to leave, I chuckled at the thought.

    It's another day and I don't know how today is going to be couple with the fact that I have two days to look for my mate. When Gina talked about mate hunt,I did not know I was going to hunt my mate for real.

   I said goodbye to the neighborhood and walked to their drive way to wait for a cab. I was waiting for a cab, hoping to see one soon when I someone cleared her voice behind me.

   I turned to see that it's Rosie. She has a smirk on her face and I wondered why it has to be there.

   "Hi Rosie,good morning"

I greeted her with a small smile on my face.

 She waved my greetings aside and smirked again. I was shock to see her like that. But then human beings are unpredictable.

   "I see you have got eyes for my boyfriend, Ma'am,I see the way your eyes was all over him. You wishes he is yours and I bet the reason he did not return front the restroom early was because of you. I don't care to know what you told him but I don't want you around my man. I gave the work you to do for me,if I had  known that you are such a bitch,I would have given it to a friend who would have done it for free"

     To say I was not dumbstruck will be an understatement. I would not think that Rosie will come up to me to say all these this beautiful morning. I am not known to be rude and I am not going to give her that vibe. I am keeping quiet does not mean I am a weak. I just feel like it's not the right time to respond to her. I thought of her as an adult but what she said now made me to realise that she is such a kid.

   "Don't worry darling,he is all yours. I am not really interested in him. It's just that the eyes could not stop wanting what it want. Next time I see him,I will throw my face away. Pardon my eyes,it should have respected itself by not looking at all"

I said and chuckled by the expression that came to play on her face. She was shock to her narrows. She was not expecting me to respond to her the way I did. Maturity does not come by age, it comes because of experience. I have seen more life than she has seen. She is a little girl who does not know who she is up against.

    "And please make sure to come get your work,it will be ready by noon. Have a good day."
