Chapter 389 Animal Friendly

I finally arrived at my new place. It was just a small building in a cool area. It was off the busy street of Beverly, it was what I wanted. The woods had made me crave for a quiet life. I want to live in the city but I don't want to have my life disturbed by the crazy life that comes with living in the city so when I was looking for an apartment, I made sure to search for it in a secluded area and luck smiled on me, I got this one.

From the agent, he said the building belonged to an old woman who had died last year with no relatives of her coming to claim the building and after a while, the building was rented out and the last occupant packed out last month due to reasons best known to her.

I was not supposed to be bothered about why the occupant had to leave, it was for my own good because if the lady had not moved out, I might not have rented the building.

I pulle my cloth box and made to open the day when a lady walked up to me, smiling.

"Hi, I am Lucy. You are the new occupant?"

I turned to see a beautiful lady smiling at me.

"Yes I am. I am Gracie"

"Oh that's a cute name for a cute lady. I like the color of your eyes"

She said and I smiled. It's been only my mom who complimented my eye color, others thought it's weird for a lady to have green eyes. I had been teased in school by boys, some when they want to refer to me, they say the green eye nerd. It's never bothered me anyway. I was more into animals than human beings.

"Thanks so much, first time someone is liking my eye color"

I told her

"Oh, you can't be serious. I would literally do anything to have your eye color. It looks so cool. When you stand with the green grass one will think you are a green lady"

She said and I chuckled in my mind. Before it was green eye nerd, now it is green lady.

"You are a dashing lady who is well endowed. I believe we are all unique in our own way. The variety is what makes the world a better place to live in. If we have everyone looking like each other, it's going to be a boring world."

"Awwwn, that is so kind of you. The kindest thing Someone had said to me. I believe that we will be friends for a long time. Anyway, welcome. I would check on you later, I need to run for an errand"

She said and ran off.

I shook my head and finally opened my door. It's good to finally have your own space.

I walked in and sat on my small cushion. I just know in time I will get the apartment in order. I just got a little of what I can afford now. Mom had given me little money with the one I had saved. It was enough for the rent and other home appliances. I got the most essential ones.

"So Gracie, it will just be you now"

I said to myself.

"I am right here too so say it will be two of us"

I heard and turned to see a big rabbit under the cushion shining his eyes at me. I bet it is a he. He was so cute with his ears up in the air and his hairy body damned smooth.

"I did not see you, sorry. I am Gracie from the woods and you are?"

The rabbit looked at me shocked.

   "You can hear me?"

The rabbit asked and moved forward.

"Yes I can hear you. I am animal friendly"

I replied and he tumbled.

"Waow! That's incredible. I don't know humans get to hear animals speak. I am Huddy."

"Nice to meet you Huddy, how long have you been here? I heay the last occupant packed out a month ago"

I said and he climbed the cushion.

"Let me say that I got in here yesterday but was sad that the place had a new look which means someone was packing in. I have been here for so long bit I don't get to see the last occupant"

He replied.

"Okay, that means I have got a company. It will not just be me again."

I told him.

"I am not him, I am her."

It said grinning and I looked at her like how she got to know what I was referring to her as.

"I have got a gift, I read minds but not all minds."
