Chapter 30: Money Preparations

it's hard to leave her anything she does something wrong 

"Staying at home all day is really boring, let's do something fun. I wanted Andrew to shift the journey to tomorrow so that we I pushed her away but she still came back and grabbed my buttocks, damn she was so seductive to the core. no wonder I find can travel and start having fun like we planned earlier"- She said 

"I know it's boring to stay home all day, but I am currently working on that. By next month we will start doing some interesting things like fishing, sky diving, swimming and others. 

 But calling Andrew to shift his journey to tomorrow is really wrong and I don't like that, it makes you look somehow anxious and curious. you know he is a working class guy and he barely even has enough time for himself"- I replied with a frown 

she looked sad after my reply, she gently walked away from me and when straight to the toilet to ease herself for a while. Was she angry about what I said 

 I walked down to meet her in the toilet, and she didn't even want to look at my face again 

"Are you angry with me?"- I asked 

She still remained quiet, pretending not to hear what I said. I leaned forward to her face and gave a romantic kiss on her forehead

"I already told you that i was sorry, but you keep blaming it on me that I did something wrong. you know that I don't like that at all"- She said 

"Okay I am sorry then, finish up and let's prepare breakfast together. We will go out to somewhere nice today"- I replied

She smiled when I mentioned that we were going to leave the house after breakfast, we will go straight to the cinema to watch the new boss baby cartoon series. 

  At least, let's enjoy ourselves for a while before the troubles of life comes knocking on our door. Just then, my phone rang, it was my mother 

"Good morning mom, how was your night?"- I asked immediately after picking the call 

"It was great son, how is your vacation going?. Hope you are having a great time"- She asked 

"Yeah I am having a great time with my girlfriend, we are doing great together"- I replied with a smile 

"Oh I see, that's really nice. I trust that you will take good care of her and I hope you remember that your father has warned you about getting her pregnant before marriage"- she said 

I even forgot about the promise I made to my dad before bringing Alexia to my house, Thank God we normally use protection. Otherwise, I would be preparing to either force her to abort the pregnancy or to become a father 

"I still remember, and I promise not to break my promise to dad. how is he doing by the way?- I asked 

"He is doing just fine, he is just too busy and he doesn't even have time for me, should I let him know that you want to also speak with him?"- She asked 

"Yes please let him know that I am active, I want to discuss some things with him while I am still free"- I replied

She dropped the phone for a while and I could hear her talking to my dad in the background

"Hey son, how are you doing, hope no problem?"- He asked 

"There is no problem, but why is it that you always ask if I have problems anything I try to reach out to you"- I replied

"That's because you always have problems and you don't call till the problems choke you up and squeeze life out of you"- He replied

He was right though, I barely call people unless I need their help in one way or the other, it just my life style and I am quite proud of it 

"Hmmm, actually I have a problem right now and I don't know if you will be willing to help me"- I replied

"I knew it, I can always be here when you have problems. So what's the problem this time, did you get into trouble, are you in need of money or did you get Alexia pregnant?"- He asked 

"No, and why would you think that I would sleep with a girl without proper protection"- I asked jokingly

"That's what we men always say till we finally fall into the trap and I don't want to ever hear the news that Alexia gave birth to a child for you outside wedlock, it's going to bring a big disagreement between us and trust me I will make you get punished for it"- He threatened 

I remained silent for a minute while staring at Alexia who just came out of the toilet, seems she heard what my father said on the phone. Because that's the only explanation for her devilish smile 

"I promise not to get a girl pregnant before marriage, hope I am safe to breath now"- I asked 

"Did I hold your breath?, You can breath as long as you don't do anything stupid with her, I don't want to ruin the relationship I have with her father.

 You of all people should know that Catholics are very holy and righteous to the core and they don't want to hear anything that has to do with giving birth to a child outside wedlock"- He replied

Indeed Catholic's are holy, but Alexia here was the opposite of holiness, she is so spoilt and seductive. Don't know where she learned those behavior.

  Because she comes from a strong catholic home, her father is a priest and her mother holds one of the biggest women position in the catholic church. But I kinda like her the way she is, she completely fits into my dream woman 

"Alright dad, I have heard you. So back to my earlier statement, I need some money"- I replied

"What about your salary?, Is that not enough for you?"- He asked 

"It's not enough, I want to travel to Atlanta Georgia with Alexis, so I would be needing some large amount of cash to make the experience a memorable one for her.

  She has been nagging about being bored all day and I usually get uncomfortable when she feels that way. That's the major reason why I would like to take her to a new place and spoil her with some gifts"- I replied

My dad paused for a while, obviously trying to digest everything that I have said. I have no idea if he would even approve of the journey, he does act strict sometimes but not so strict like Andrew's parents, lol 

"So how much are we looking at here, and you better hope it doesn't exceed a hundred thousand dollars. That's the maximum money I can give to you now"- He replied

That money would be enough for the both of us, I really wanted to spend so much cash on this journey, let me spoil Alexia for once. I also wanted to get a Lamborghini Aventador as a surprise gift for her birthday on Tuesday

  My salary would be enough to get her the car, but I am too stingy, I don't want to touch a dime from that money. I would use it for something big and better 

"Well I wanted to ask for $300k, but it seems that you have already set a target to the amount you can give to me, so it's okay. At least a half loaf of bread is better than nothing"- I replied

My dad laughed profusely on the phone, he was obviously amused by my proverb. It was kinda funny though 

"I do like it when you try to act like a man, well you will soon know what it takes to run a company and oversee all the major expenses that would arise. money don't fall from trees, if you want extra cash, you work for it.

 I believe your salary as a teenager is equivalent to a 40-year old man's salary in two months. So I think is high time you start appreciating the little that you have, because most people don't even make up to $3000 a month in this country. Things are not easy for people nowadays"- He replied

I know things aren't easy nowadays, but at least that shouldn't stop us from having a good life, I mean we have the cash in excess. My dad thinks too much about the future to the extent that he even minimized his monthly expenses all in the name of investment

"Alright I have heard all you said, please just send the money to my bank account, thanks so much dad. Love you"- I replied with a smile 

"Love you too son, I will send it before the end of today. But when are you traveling to Atlanta?"- He asked 

"We will be leaving on Monday and Andrew is coming with us too, he was the one who even brought the idea. So it's going to be a great adventure for all of us"- I replied

"That sounds okay to me, just be careful and do well to call me before you travel. Let me hand over the phone to your mom"- He replied while handling over the phone to my mom, I could still hear some voices in the background, seems they have a visitor or something

"So are you satisfied now that you have spoken with your father?"- She asked 

"Yes I am okay now, Thanks for calling mom. You really do care about me"- I replied

"Yes I do, catch you later son. We are kind of busy now"- she replied while hanging up the call 

I dropped my phone on the table and went straight to the bathroom to take my bath and brush my teeth. Alexia interrupted me on my way 

"Wow, you spoke with you dad for close to two hours, was he preaching about the bible to you?"- She asked jokingly

"Nah, we were only discussing about something very important that's why we took so long on the call"- I replied

"So what did he tell you then, and by the way, why do you want to borrow more money.

  Thought you said you have more than enough for the trip"- She asked 

I didn't know what to say to that question, don't want to reveal my plans to her else she would disturb me for the rest of my life so I pretended not hear what she said 

"so you wanna start with the pretending mode right?, don't you dare say that you didn't hear what I said"- she replied with seriousness on her face 

"okay fine, I just need an extra money so that we would stay in the best hotel, visit the beach and other things. I just want this journey to be a memorable one for us or don't you want to enjoy a good taste of joy and excitement for once?"- I asked 

She grabbed me again for the third time, this time she gave me a kiss on the lips before I could even think of resisting 

"I really do want to enjoy a good taste of life, but if it would cost too much money, then it's not worth it at all"- she replied

I felt so touched by those words, she definitely cares more about my financial stability and financial health than any other thing in the world.

  Wow, it's rare to see ladies like this and I must confess that I really love her more for just this statement alone 

"you are right, so what are we going to eat for breakfast this morning, it's already close to noon and I am very hungry"- I replied while rubbing my hungry stomach

"Oh, let's eat some noodles with fried eggs, that would be fast and easy to prepare"- She replied 

We both walked to the kitchen to prepare the noodles and after a while, we were both seated at the dinner table

 After eating, we went straight to the bathroom to take our bath and get dressed for the cinema.

Kelvin's POV

I and my mom got to the office quite late, but no one would dare question us or else they would lose their job, lol. just then, i remember what I wanted to say to my mom yesterday

"Mom I have remembered what I wanted to tell you yesterday"- I called out to her just as she was about to walk into her office.

"Oh okay, let's go to my office to discuss about it"- she said as we both walked into the office and shut the door behind us 

"so what do you want to tell me so badly"- she asked with a smile 

"Well I wanted to ask you if I could travel on Monday, I want to travel with Andrew. He is planning to take a short trip to Atlanta Georgia and he wants to take some of his friends too.  

  So I don't know if you can give me some days off, let's say a week or two"- i replied

she paused for a while, obviously surprised by my sudden plans about traveling

"you should have told me this earlier. I already made plans for the both of us next week. I wanted to take you out for a movie so that we could have some fun time together like the good old days"- she replied with a frown on her face 

I don't like it when she is sad, it makes me feel so uncomfortable and unhappy to see her in the mood 

"I can cancel the plan if you want, I haven't informed Andrew that I will follow him, I earlier told him that I won't be able to accompany him. I just wanted to ask you first for your permission before taking any further decisions"- I replied

"Nooo, don't cancel your plans son. It's good t hang out with your close friends. I do hang out with my friends all the time, so it won't be fair to stop you from hanging out with yours"- she replied with a smile 

"Won't you feel lonely when I leave?. I don't want you to start thinking too much in my absence"- I replied while touching her cheeks 

"Nah, I won't feel lonely at all, not with all these work piled up here. and even if I am lonely, I have a lot of friends to visit.

  And beside I can also do a video chat with you on what's app if the need arises "- She replied

 I was glad to know that she won't be lonely in my absence, that was my major fear before, but it seems everything is going to be okay 

"So have you started arranging your luggage? And by the way, you will also need some extra cash or do you want to take from your bank account balance?"- she asked
