Writer's point of view…
Dr Emmanuel stood in his office staring blankly at nothing.
He was deep in thought, but didn't seem to be focusing on much as the rest of the world passed him by.
He can't understand why Susan would die. he made sure she was out of danger when they left the ward. It was just a panic attack, which is not warrant for her to die.
"What the hell is this?"
He cursed under his breath.
And to top it all, he let Zain take his daughter away.
He did want to create a scene but had in mind to get Claire back when the time is right.
He started pacing around with a little sweat forming on his forehead .
He has no idea how he is going to explain this situation, and more importantly why he couldn't keep a close eye on her.
He heard the door open, but didn't even bother turning his head towards it. He continued walking like he hadn't even notice.
"Emmanuel." The voice came from behind him making him stop, but still didn't turn around.
"I know you are hurting but don't give me that attitude."
It was then when Emanuel finally turned around to face his friend and colleague.
"What do you want, Dr Frank?"
The doctor raised an eyebrow at him.
"What do I want? Are you asking or you are making a statement?"
Dr Emmanuel frowned and stared hard at his colleague,
"You are literate enough to know that it was a question I asked."
Frank shook his head, chuckling a bit.
"What do you want?"
Dr Emmanuel repeated his earlier question.
Dr Frank sighed heavily before answering,
"How long have we been working together?"
Dr Emmanuel looked up in shock, "what?" He didn't say anything else until Doctor Frank repeated himself
"How long have we worked together?"
Emmanuel opened his mouth to reply but realized he never had answered that question so he closed it once again.
"I'll ask you another one, how many times do you need me to ask you?"
"That's…" he trailed off thinking about it,
"Three months. I think," Dr Emmanuel shrugged.
Dr Frank nodded, "right and you haven't told me about your new patient?"
Dr Emmanuel groaned. What was there to tell Frank now?
His Doctor friend is a pain in the ass. He just has a lot to deal with right now and the man is here trying to remind him about someone who he was not supposed to lose to death.
"Why would you want me to tell you about her?"
Dr Emmanuel asked frowning deeply. He knew the answer, he could feel it in his bones. He had the feeling he already knows what his friend wants to know, but he is just playing stupid.
"Nothing, just being curious and suspicious. The whole panic attack and then she is gone, I think there something you are not telling everybody. I was there and I saw there was no way she is near death. The question is, how come she is dead?"
Dr Frankie questioned seriously.
Dr Emmanuel took a deep breath closing his eyes briefly, then decided to just show his true colours for this particular conversation.
Dr Frank has always been the one who questions everything he does at white Wing. Emmanuel knew as long as he is in White Wing, he will find a way to deal with Dr Frank.
But it will not help him if Frank keeps digging.
"I don't care what you think or what you know, I need answers too so if you have one, kindly tell me.
Dr Franklin narrowed his eyes slightly but did not say anything, instead he sat down on the armchair across from Emanuel's desk.
There was silence, only the sound of their breaths resonating through the empty room.
Then Dr Frank spoke
"I don't know what you are talking about. I am just here to remind you that we are not friends and I have got my eyes on you"
Hee said standing up and turning his back to Dr Emmanuel, "so if you don't tell me, I will just go looking for information myself."
Emmanuel watched him walk out of his office before taking a deep breath. He knew he is in for a big trouble but as always, he would find a way to deal with Dr Frank.
He looked around then walked out of his office heading to Susan's ward. He needed to see for the last time before she would be taken to the morgue.
