Spilling The Secret

    I made to stand up but she stood up instead and left the kitchen after giving me the look"when I am back you spill"

   I chuckled sadly, I'm a hundred percent sure that's Miss Celine and the twins are at the door.

  I waited for like five minutes and mom appeared.

  "You have visitors,Jenny. I guess we will finish our discussion later"

She muttered and gestured for me to stand up.

  "Alright mummy but can you follow me too? My visitors are yours right?"

"Right" She responded and pulled me up and we left the kitchen.

  Stepping into the living room, there sat Miss Celine with Mitchell and Michael hovering over her, both struggling for her bags. It did not take them long to notice my present and when they did, both ran to me hugging each of my legs. 

 "Aunt Jenny, we have missed you. You stopped visiting us"

Mitchell cried and I felt a tang of pain in my heart.

  I picked both of them up and kissed each of their cheeks.

  "I am sorry darlings. I was not in town that's why I stopped visiting but I wouldn't do that again"

Both needed and struggled down from my aims.

  I walked to miss Celine and kissed her cheeks,"Thanks for coming?"

"My pleasure, I am always here for you?"

I nodded and turned to mom, it was introduction time.

  I walked up to Mom and took her hands in mine" Promise mom that you wouldn't be so mad at me with what I am about to tell you"

Mom said nothing, only to stare at me.

  I turned to see Miss Celine giving me go ahead and I smiled at her.

  "Mummy, remember that I told you there is more you need to know"

She nodded and asked me to go on.

 "This twins are Zain and I children"

I dropped the bombshell, not the best way to tell a secret but I can tell you mum was shocked to her bones.

  "You are not kidding, are you?"

She said then laughed," tell me you are joking?"

This time,she was not laughing. She was shocked. I nodded my head in response

  "How is it possible that you had kids and I am not aware of it?"

She flared up.

  "Mummy, calm down. Stop raising your voice or they will understand"

I pleaded with her. I made a mistake before, I should have walked her out of the living room before telling her about the twins.

  She snatched her hands from me and walked out of the living room.

  "Mum, wait?!" I screamed running after her. She did not listen to my pleas but to continue walking as if I was talking to her or pleading with her to stop.

  She did not stop until she was right inside her room. "Tell me what you said back there is not the truth?"

  "Mummy it is the truth. I know I should have told you this earlier. I'm sorry I had to keep this away from you for so long. I didn't know what to do. How am I supposed to explain to you that I was pregnant for my sister's husband? It was shameful and I had nowhere to turn to. I didn't want to be a disgrace to you, mum. I had to do what I had to do and that is hiding the pregnancy and keeping the kids away from you after they were born"

  She turned towards me, gripping my arms" And how were you able to pull that off without me knowing.

  "I met Zain like you know before fifteen and he broke up with me a few days after my fifteenth birthday. I found out that I was a month gone, four weeks after the break up. Tasha and I soothe for solution, I wasn't in for an abortion because I was afraid I will die. Luckily for me, school was put on hold because of the student that was killed during that period. It was going to last for a year plus and that period, you traveled to grannies place to see them. I couldn't face Zain coming to visit Susan here with you not being around so I moved in with you Tasha for the period you will be away, thinking it was the best solution. 

I paused to study her expression but she was not giving out anything.
