I chuckled darkly, looking straight into her eyes.
"Do you really want to find out?"
I whispered, making sure to blow my breath on her skin. She shivered slightly and stepped back with curiosity.
"I bet you do. What I mean is, since I don't like you and can't stand you. You are literally not adding any value to my life and I make the rules in this mansion. You did not want to leave my house yesterday and I let you get away with your insolent attitude because I did not want Claire intervening. You are leaving this very moment, that's to show you the tips of what I can do and if you try anything, I will make sure your life is a living hell"
She swallowed hard, staring at me with wide eyes. I couldn't believe my words, I didn't even realize what I had done until I saw the fear in her eyes. It seems like I have really lost control of myself this morning. I know I am heartless and I take the credit for it.
It's all good, it's best I throw her out of my life for good. She can't be in my house and be giving me rules. Her position as my mistress expired yesterday. Initially, I had wanted her to stay while I make her life hell but thinking about it, it's best that she leaves my house. I don't care where she will go. It's not my problem.
"You aren't serious,right?"
She asked in disbelief. She was not expecting the turn of event. She would be blaming herself for starting up that conversation. If that conversation has not happened, we would not be here and I would not have ask her to leave.
"I don't look like I am joking"
I stated and rang a bell. Immediately, the bar filled with servants.
"You all should go to Lora's room and get her things here"
I ordered and they scrambled to get my order carried out.
Lora slowly went down on her knees.
"You really know I don't mean all that I say. Please don't throw me out of here"
She pleaded with her two hands together. I huffed and threw my face away. I am not a fool to believe any word she is going to utter now. The sooner she gets out of here, the better. I can't risk her presence here anymore.
"Get up now"
I snapped and grabbed her in the wrist and started pulling her towards the entrance while she pleaded. I turned deaf ears to all her pleas.
"Zain?"
I halted and turned towards the direction of the voice. Owen and his wife stood there, surprise evident on both of their faces and concern. I guess the bell woke them up because they looked like they just woke up. They looked disheveled.
"What's going on?"
He asked calmly.
"What does it look like? She is leaving my house right now"
I snapped harshly, making Owen flinched slightly.
Mercy stepped forward. Her hair was messy and my guess if what might have happened last night was true. She looked pretty enough with a strandle of her hair trying to get its way into her mouth. I took my eyes off her appearance and rested it on her hands on my other free hand.
"Why?"
Her eyes did not leave my face.
"Because I said so. Do you have a problem with that?"
She shook her head no and brought her face down
"I don't have a problem with that. You brought her here yourself but don't you think she is family. You can't wake up one morning and decided to throw her away. It's not right. Have some conscience."
She argued making me snap my head to her.
"She is not part of the family. I can toss her out whenever I please"
"What about Claire? Don't you think she would be sad to hear that you threw Lora out of the house"
I chuckled within myself when I realized what she was trying to do. She wants to use Claire to get me to me. It's not happening.
"I might love my dear niece a lot but any request asked in her name can't be granted unless she is the one asking."
Owen looked on helplessly, at intervals, his mouth will open but nothing would come out at the end.
Lora's hopes dashed the moment the words left my mouth. She had a glimpse of hope when Mercy brought up Claire's name. It's a pity that no one will be able to help her now. She is going and that's it.
